  • Austin Riley Gets Massive Extension

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley has received a well-deserved extension from the organization. The 25-year-old has agreed to a 10-year deal worth $212 million, which is the highest in franchise history. This deal will buy out Riley's three remaining arbitration years as well as seven free agent years. Riley had a breakout season in 2021 and followed that up with another strong year in 2022. The young star is hitting over .300 with 29 home runs and 68 RBI through 101 games. The Braves want to make sure they lock up their stud third baseman before it's too late. He's expected to be a cornerstone piece of this organization for years to come.

  • Austin Riley Added To NL All-Star Team

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley is being added to the National League All-Star team. With a season slash line of .282/.345/.568 to go along with a .913 OPS, 26 home runs, 60 RBI, 53 runs scored, a league-leading 201 total bases and two stolen bases in 391 plate appearances over 90 games, Riley had been one of, if not the biggest, All-Star snub heading into next week's Midsummer Classic. That's no longer the case. He's been on an absolute tear at the plate in the month of July, going 25-for-62 (.403) with a whopping eight home runs, 17 RBI and 13 runs scored in 15 games played. The 25-year-old is just two home runs behind Kyle Schwarber for the NL lead in long balls.

  • Austin Riley Collects Three Hits

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley put together a strong performance during Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals. Riley went 3-for-6 with a solo home run and three RBI in 12-inning marathon victory. The 25-year-old blasted his 23rd home run of the season. He also came through with the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 12th inning. The young slugger has helped his team come within two games of first place in the NL East.

  • Austin Riley Goes 3-For-4 In Thursday's Loss

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley had a solid game in a losing effort against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. He went 3-for-4 with three singles and a run scored in the game. Riley has been in the midst of a bit of a power drought lately. He's gone 12 straight games without a home run. His season-long numbers still look strong overall as he was having no problems with his power swing prior to the midpoint of June. Through 75 games on the year, he's slashing .257/.326/.503 with 18 home runs, 43 RBI and 40 runs. With his 97th percentile average exit velocity (93.4 mph), expect for him to continue going yard again soon.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr., Austin Riley Resting Thursday

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. and third baseman Austin Riley are not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the San Francisco Giants. Adam Duvall is also getting a day of rest for the Braves in the matinee game. Acuna got a late start to the season due to injury, but he's still a must-start fantasy asset when he's on the field, and he's hitting .275/.367/.456 with an .823 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 41 games. Riley has been an excellent source of power with 18 home runs, an .836 OPS, 41 RBI and 39 runs scored in 69 games for the Braves. Guillermo Heredia is in right field and is hitting eighth on Thursday against Giants left-hander Alex Wood. William Contreras will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth, while Orlando Arcia will play third base and hit sixth.

  • Austin Riley Goes Hitless Over The Weekend

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley had a rough time at the plate in this past weekend's series against the Miami Marlins. He went a combined 0-for-12 with a walk and three strikeouts over the three-game set. The 25-year-old started the year off strong, hitting six home runs while posting a .928 OPS in April. However, in May, he's slashing just .176/.256/.284 with two home runs. Riley's underlying power metrics remain elite, including a 91st percentile xSLG (.555) and a 91st percentile average exit velocity (92 mph), so we expect him to shake off the past couple weeks soon.
