  • Austin Riley Tallies RBI Single In Sunday Night Baseball Loss

    Headshot for Austin Riley

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two strikeouts in the team's 6-4 loss against the Texas Rangers on Sunday night. Riley was off to a poor at the plate on Sunday before bringing in Ronald Acuna Jr. on an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning. The third baseman is now slashing .259/.323/.447 with two home runs, 13 RBI, and six doubles atop the Braves' lineup through 20 games to start the season. He has also totaled at least one hit in 12 of the last 14 games. The 27-year-old will continue to be a must-start player in fantasy.

  • Austin Riley Hits Two-Run Shot On Sunday To Complete Series Sweep

    Headshot for Austin Riley

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley launched his second home run of the season to power the Braves to a series sweep over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Riley was held without a hit until the eighth inning when he launched a two-run shot to center field off Miguel Castro to score Ozzie Albies. The 27-year-old came into Sunday's game with a strong .258/.303/.452 stat line. Riley should continue to hit cleanup, as he has done all season for one of the best lineups in baseball, making him an elite option in both season-long and DFS formats. Riley and Braves will host their division rival, the New York Mets, for a four-game set beginning on Monday, with Julio Teheran scheduled to start for the opposition in the series opener.

  • Austin Riley Hits Home Run Monday, Drives in Four

    Headshot for Austin Riley

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer on Monday against the Chicago White Sox. Riley mashed a pitch from reliever Dominic Leone to right-center field for a three-run homer to blow the game open for the Braves. For the year now through four games, Riley owns a triple-slash line of .294/.368/.588 with five RBI. Look for Riley to continue his dominance at the third base position as he mashes and produces in a stacked Braves lineup. It's another excellent start to the season for Riley, and he looks primed for another productive fantasy season.

  • Austin Riley Having A Modest Spring

    Headshot for Austin Riley

Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley is having an underwhelming spring by his standards. The 26-year-old is slashing .257/.297/.429 with just two homers and four RBI in 35 AB. Though his spring has been subpar, Riley is still expected to be very important to fantasy managers' lineups, as he currently has a 22.3 ADP. The projections at ATC expect Riley to perform very similarly to his 2023 season with a .279/.349/.532 slash line with 38 HR and 103 RBI. Braves fans and fantasy managers shouldn't expect Riley's spring training results to continue in the regular season, but a couple more Austin Riley-like games to finish spring training would be a welcome sight. He is a surefire top-20 pick and one of the most dependable third-base options heading into 2024 fantasy drafts.

  • Austin Riley Homers In Spring Training Debut

    Headshot for Austin Riley

After flying out to right in his first at-bat in Sunday's 5-4 Grapefruit League loss to the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley hit a Joe Jacques pitch off the pavilion in right field for his first hit and home run of the spring. It was a solo shot for the 2x All-Star, ending the day 1-2 with one RBI and one run scored. Riley hit 37 long balls last season and with the slugger projected for 38 again in 2024, he's in prime position to rack up RBIs hitting out of the third spot in the potent Braves batting order. The former first-round pick won't help you in the stolen base department but will provide stellar production in every other meaningful category. He's also durable, playing nearly 160 games in three consecutive seasons, which helps affirm his status as the second third baseman off of draft boards and his ranking of 19th overall at RotoBaller, just ahead of his NFBC ADP of 20th overall.
