  • Isaac Paredes Crushes A Two-Run Shot In Rays Loss

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer during Sunday's game against the Blue Jays. He also logged a run and a walk. The 24-year-old has had an excellent season as he has slugged 30 home runs and collected 95 RBI. Slashing .251/.354/.490, Paredes has been outstanding for fantasy managers who have him rostered. In 471 trips to the plate, he leads the Rays in both home runs and runs batted in.

  • Isaac Paredes Not In The Lineup On Saturday Vs. Baltimore

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes is absent from the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. This looks to just be a day off for the 24-year-old slugger as Curtis Mead will start at third base and bat sixth against Grayson Rodriguez and the O's. Paredes has put it all together this season for the Rays, slashing .249/.351/.492 with 29 home runs, 89 RBI, and one stolen base over 445 at-bats on the season. He should be back out there for Sunday's series finale.

  • Isaac Paredes Out Of Sunday's Lineup

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes (hand) is not included in Sunday's lineup against the Boston Red Sox. The 24-year-old was pulled from Saturday's game after being hit in the hand by a pitch during the fifth inning. Paredes is day-to-day with a right hand contusion after X-rays returned negative. Tampa Bay is back in action for the start of a three-game series with the Minnesota Twins on Monday. The slugger is slashing a powerful .255/.355/.506 with 29 home runs, 21 doubles, and 89 RBI in 499 trips to the dish. Jonathan Aranda steps in at the 5 and bats sixth for Sunday's tilt.

  • Isaac Paredes Pulled From Saturday's Game

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes (hand) has been removed early from Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The 24-year-old was taken out of the contest after getting hit in the hand by a pitch in the fifth inning. Paredes has experienced some tough luck this season as he has been hit a league-leading 20 times so far. The expectation is that Paredes will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the issue. Oslevis Basabe took over at third base on Saturday and could see more playing time if Paredes is forced to miss more games.

  • Isaac Paredes Launches A Solo Shot Friday

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a 7-4 win over the Mariners on Friday. Paredes knocked an RBI base hit off of right-hander George Kirby in the first frame. He would later crush a homer in the eighth inning while facing Mariners reliever Dominic Leone. After a solid evening at the plate, the 24-year-old now carries a slash line of .253/.352/.502 with 29 dingers and 89 RBI in 2023.

  • Isaac Paredes Starting On Bench On Thursday

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes is not included in Thursday's lineup versus the Baltimore Orioles. Taylor Walls spells him at third base for this one while batting eighth against right-hander Kyle Gibson. The switch-hitting Walls is not much of a recommended streamer while hitting .177 with a .599 OPS in 175 at-bats opposing right-handed pitching in 2023. Paredes, despite a lowly 28.3% hard-hit rate, is slashing a strong .257/.360/.493 with 17 home runs, 57 RBI, and one stolen base in 322 trips to the plate this year. It seems to render the 24-year-old something of a fantasy sell-high candidate without an everyday role on the packed Rays depth chart.

  • Isaac Paredes Absent From The Lineup For Game 1 Of Doubleheader

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals. Taylor Walls is starting at the hot corner while Paredes gets the first game off, the latter will likely start Game 2, however. Paredes owns a solid .262/.369/.492 batting line with 15 home runs, 54 RBI, and one stolen base over 256 at-bats on the season.

  • Isaac Paredes Returns On Tuesday

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Isaac Paredes (ribs) is back in the team's starting lineup on Tuesday to face the visiting Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Aaron Nola. Paredes is starting at third base and hitting fifth in the Rays batting order. Paredes was involved in a scary collision with Mariners first baseman Ty France on Sunday and had to leave the game, but he won't end up missing any games after Monday's off day. The 24-year-old is having a solid season for the first-place Rays, hitting .267 (66-for-247) with 14 home runs, 14 doubles, 53 RBI and 40 runs scored in 290 plate appearances and 76 games. He's been useful in all fantasy leagues while hitting in the heart of a strong Tampa lineup.

  • Isaac Paredes Exits Early On Sunday

    Headshot for Isaac Paredes

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Isaac Paredes (rib) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Paredes was charging a ground ball at third base when he collided with Mariners first baseman Ty France, who was running from second to third base. The two of them collided, but both appear to have avoided serious injury. Paredes was able to walk off the field under his own power. He has been diagnosed with left-rib discomfort after the incident. That being said, fantasy managers should consider Paredes as day-to-day right now.
