Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Dillon Peters is being placed on the 15-day injured list with an undisclosed injury on Tuesday, per the league's transactions page. The move will be retroactive to June 3. Peters will be eligible to come off the injured list on June 18. The 29-year-old southpaw has made 16 appearances (four starts) for the Pirates this year and has allowed 11 earned runs on 14 hits while striking out 21 and walking 16 in 25 2/3 innings pitched. He has a decent 3.86 ERA, but his 15.4% walk rate is concerning, especially considering his 17.6% career strikeout rate in six major league seasons.
