  • Braves Want To Keep Dansby Swanson

The Atlanta Braves want to keep All-Star shortstop Dansby Swanson around while he's in the midst of a career year. If his form holds, the Braves will make their offer to Swanson after the Aug. 2 trade deadline. If he does become a free agent, it will be another excellent year for the free-agent shortstop market. Xander Bogaerts will almost certainly opt out of his deal with the Boston Red Sox, and so will Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa. Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Trea Turner will make it four. People believe that Turner prefers to go back to the East Coast. Swanson has been excellent for fantasy managers this year, hitting .294/.353/.481 with an .833 OPS, 15 home runs, 53 RBI, 60 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 394 plate appearances over 94 games.

  • Dansby Swanson Stays Hot Wednesday

Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson kept his hot streak alive on Wednesday, going 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, a run, and a walk. After a miserable April in which he hit .216, he's brought his line to .295/.362/.470. Swanson also has nine home runs, 37 RBI, 39 runs, and nine stolen bases. The 28-year-old has been one of the better fantasy shortstops this season, and even if he reverts towards his career .253 batting average, his power and speed combination is playable in any league.

  • Dansby Swanson Wins Arbitration Case; Braves Win Case Over Adam Duvall

Two of the Braves’ remaining arbitration situations have been resolved. As first reported by the Associated Press, Dansby Swanson has won his case and will receive a $10MM salary. Adam Duvall, meanwhile, will make $9.275MM after losing his case. Both players will reach free agency after this season, as this was the final trip through the…

  • Dansby Swanson Gets Three Hits In Friday's Game

Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson had a terrific day at the plate on Friday, going 3-for-4 during the 3-1 win over the Rockies. On the season, the 28-year-old is slashing .280/.348/.439 with six home runs, 26 RBI, 30 runs and nine stolen bases. However, since May 1, Swanson has been hitting .322/.383/.496. He should be rostered in all leagues, as he has a chance to continue contributing in batting average and power.
