  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Hits His 20th Homer On Wednesday

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in the team's 8-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. He now has 20 home runs on the year to go along with 56 RBI, 47 runs and a .266/.344/.488 slash line. His season's been a bit of a disappointment so far after he compiled 48 homers, 111 RBI and 123 runs while posting a 1.002 OPS in 2021. His underlying metrics are down across the board from last year, but he still remains elite in several areas. He ranks in the 97th percentile in both hard-hit rate (53.2%) and average exit velocity (93.3 mph).

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Getting A Breather On Tuesday

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team takes on right-hander Adrian Martinez and the Oakland Athletics. Cavan Biggio will be covering first base for the game. This will be just the second day off this season so far for Guerrero. The 23-year-old phenom has compiled 19 home runs, 53 RBI and 45 runs over 80 games this year to go along with a .266/.352/.497 slash line. Expect to see him back out there for the series finale on Wednesday.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Delivers Walk-Off Single On Tuesday

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. came through with the biggest hit of the day in the team's 6-5 win over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. With two men on in the ninth inning of a 5-5 game, Guerrero hit a single to left field that scored George Springer and gave the Blue Jays a 6-5 walk-off victory. The hit was Guerrero's second single of the game as he went 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. The 23-year-old has been fantastic at the plate this month, slashing .308/.400/.615 with nine home runs, 22 RBI and 22 runs.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Slugging .624 In June

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been on a tear at the plate in June. He's racked up eight home runs, 18 RBI and 18 runs this month to go along with a stellar .294/.388/.624 slash line. His gaudy surface stats are supported by a .647 xSLG and a 96.5 mph average exit velocity this month. Vladito struggled a bit in May, hitting .217/.333/.348 with just three homers across the month, but clearly he's gotten back on track lately. The 23-year-old slugger has 17 homers on the year. He ranks in the 98th percentile of the league in average exit velocity (94.2 mph) and in the 99th percentile in hard-hit rate (56.1%).

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Homers, Tallies Four Hits On Wednesday

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. stayed hot at the plate in the team's 7-6 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. He went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored. He has now recorded multiple hits in four of his last six games, homering three times over that six-game stretch. He's in the midst of putting together a phenomenal month of June as he's slashing .333/.394/.717 with seven home runs, 15 RBI and 14 runs so far this month. He's raised his season-long slash line to .271/.355/.511 and he now has 16 homers, 39 RBI and 34 runs over 61 games on the year.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Already With Four Homers In June

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been mashing at the plate thus far in June. Over seven games this month, he's slashing .250/.344/.714 with four home runs, one double, six RBI and six runs. Vladito opened the year strong, launching six home runs in April, but he was underwhelming in May as he slashed .217/.333/.348 with just three home runs across the month. The 23-year-old superstar ranks in the 97th percentile in hard-hit rate (54%) and in the 96th percentile in average exit velocity (93.2 mph). While he may have some cold stretches here and there, fantasy managers can safely expect to see some gaudy power numbers by season's end.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Returns From Wrist Injury

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (wrist) is back at first base and is hitting third on Tuesday against Chicago White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito. Guerrero didn't start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels due to a sore left wrist -- he pinch hit in the game -- but he's been cleared to play on Tuesday after Monday's off day. The 23-year-old slugger has been somewhat of a disappointment after a true breakout season in 2021, but he still has nine home runs and 24 RBI in 191 plate appearances while slashing .256/.351/.451 with an .802 OPS and 20 runs scored in 46 games played. Fantasy managers should be returning him to starting lineups in all leagues.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Dealing With Power Outage

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had 48 home runs and finished second in the American League MVP voting last year. However, in May of this year, his .706 OPS would be the third-worst mark in his short career. Guerrero hit a homer on Tuesday, his first extra-base hit since May 5, a span in which 360 different hitters had at least one extra-base hit. The 23-year-old is striking out just over 11% of the time in May and has a nice hard-hit rate of 56.9%. The issue is that he's put 60% of his batted balls on the ground in May, easily a career high. He's hitting .219 with a .219 slugging percentage on ground balls. Pitchers have changed how they're attacking Vlad, giving him fewer four-seam fastballs in the strike zone while keeping other pitches low in the zone. The 23-year-old is still a must-start in fantasy, but he's been a disappointment with a .263/.356/.447 slash line through 42 games in 2022.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Blasts His Eighth Home Run On Tuesday

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. helped lead the team to an 8-1 route over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk in the game. The home run was his eighth of the year and his first since May 5. It's been a strangely quiet month of May thus far for the 23-year-old phenom. He's slugging just .347 this month with only four extra-base hits (two homers, two doubles). Vladito came out of the gate hot this year, mashing six home runs while posting an .898 OPS in April. We expect him to break out of his current cold stretch soon.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Extends Hit Streak To 13 Games

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the team's 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Monday. He was also hit by a pitch in the game. Vladito has now recorded at least one hit in each of his last 13 games. However, he only has three extra-base hits over the 13-game stretch: a home run and two doubles. The 23-year-old launched six home runs and slugged .545 in April, but he's slugging just .373 in May. Expect to see the home runs continue flying off of Guerrero's bat once again soon. The slugger is still making elite power contact on the year, ranking in the 97th percentile in average exit velocity (93.4 mph) and in the 98th percentile in hard-hit rate (55.3%).
