  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Drives In Three On Opening Day

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the rest of the offense got off to a great start on Opening Day on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Guerrero finished the day 2-for-4 with three RBI in the 10-9 comeback win. The 24-year-old's sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning proved to be the game-winner for the Blue Jays in the season opener. All in all, the Blue Jays totaled 19 hits, although only one of them went for extra bases. RotoBaller's top-ranked fantasy first baseman is off to a good start in 2023 and will once again rack up plenty of RBI and home runs for his fantasy managers this year.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Could Rejoin Team Dominican Republic

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) said he's open to rejoining Team Dominican Republic for the World Baseball Classic now that he's past his knee injury. • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Back In The Lineup Wednesday

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) is back in the Grapefruit League lineup on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander JT Brubaker. Guerrero is playing first base and batting third in the lineup. It will be his first game action since being removed early on March 3 due to some minor knee inflammation. The Blue Jays have taken it slow with their star first baseman, but it's looking like Vladdy will be ready for Opening Day later this month, as long as he doesn't suffer a setback in the next couple of weeks. In one of the best lineups in baseball and in one of the more hitter-friendly home ballparks, Guerrero is RotoBaller's top-ranked fantasy first baseman.

Ross Stripling played two and a half campaigns in Toronto after being acquired from the Dodgers in a 2020 deadline trade. The right-hander had a quality second full season as a Blue Jay, throwing 134 1/3 innings of 3.01 ERA ball over 32 outings (24 starts) last year. It was a well-timed return to his…

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Should Return To Lineup In A Few Days

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) should be fine to return to the Grapefruit League lineup in a few days after his baserunning session went well over the weekend. It sounds like the knee worry is almost behind him. Guerrero is dealing with right knee inflammation, but the Blue Jays were taking a cautionary approach with their best player in spring training. The 23-year-old should be ready for the start of the 2023 regular season and should still be considered the No. 1 first baseman in upcoming fantasy drafts.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. To Run The Bases Sunday

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) will run the bases on Sunday, according to manager John Schneider. Guerrero has been hitting and doing defensive drills recently, and all has been going well with his knee. The 23-year-old has been dealing with some minor knee inflammation, but the Blue Jays aren't taking any chances, and Guerrero also dropped out of the World Baseball Classic as a result. As long as he doesn't suffer another setback, he should be ready for Opening Day. If everything goes well with his running on Sunday, Guerrero should be back in the Grapefruit League lineup at some point next week. He is RotoBaller's top-ranked fantasy first baseman.

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) took some ground balls and hit again on Thursday, and he'll likely face live pitching on Friday and go from there. The good news is that he's feeling good, according to manager John Schneider. The Blue Jays are taking things slowly in camp with the 23-year-old after he experienced some right knee inflammation recently. It's definitely something to keep an eye on, but as long as he doesn't have any setbacks, he'll have plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day at the end of March. Guerrero is RotoBaller's top-ranked fantasy first baseman heading into the 2023 campaign.

Guerrero could get back in the batting cages by the weekend. Guerrero is dealing with a sore right knee and is taking things slowly in camp. It's not a serious injury by any means, but the Blue Jays aren't going to rush him back to Grapefruit League action. The 23-year-old has a good shot of returning to game action at some point next week, and barring any setbacks once he returns, he should still be considered the top fantasy option at first base in 2023.

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) will be evaluated on Saturday, depending on how he feels, according to manager John Schneider. • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Departs Early With Sore Knee

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee) left Friday's Grapefruit League game early with right knee discomfort. Guerrero singled early in the game and took second base on a throw to home, but his final steps into second base looked awkward. The Blue Jays will likely have an update on Guerrero after the game, and fantasy managers will want to check back for that. The 23-year-old made the All-Star team each of the last two seasons, but his 2022 campaign wasn't quite as productive with a slash line of .274/.339/.480 with an .818 OPS, 42 home runs, 97 RBI, 90 runs and eight stolen bases in 160 games. Even with a slight dip in production last year, Vladdy remains RotoBaller's top-ranked fantasy first baseman.

The 23-year-old remains one of the best power hitters in the game in a hitter-friendly environment and a potent lineup, though, and he finished 2022 with a .274/.339/.480 slash line, .818 OPS, 32 home runs, 97 RBI, 90 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 706 plate appearances over 160 games. The 23-year-old has gotten his body right and it has paid off, as he's missed just three games the last two seasons.
