Mike Clevinger Placed On Waivers

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Mike Clevinger has been placed on waivers. The 32-year-old has been surprisingly solid for the South Siders this season. He holds a 3.32 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and a 85/38 K/BB ratio through 97 2/3 innings this season. The White Sox are not playing for anything, so they've decided to move on from Clevinger and try and get some salary relief. The right-hander should certainly have plenty of interest from contending teams. Clevinger signed a one-year deal with the White Sox this offseason and is set for a nice payday this winter.

Liam Hendriks, Mike Clevinger Toss Bullpen Sessions On Saturday

Chicago White Sox right-handed pitchers Liam Hendriks (elbow) and Mike Clevinger (biceps) were both able to get in bullpen sessions ahead of Saturday's game versus the St. Louis Cardinals. Hendriks has been downed with right elbow inflammation since June 10. It remains unclear if the 34-year-old needs a rehab assignment before returning, but fantasy managers could reasonably expect him back before the end of the month at this rate.
