  • Jon Berti, Brian Anderson Beginning Rehab Assignments

Miami Marlins infielders Jon Berti (groin) and Brian Anderson (shoulder) will both begin minor league rehab assignments with Triple-A Jacksonville this weekend. Berti has been out almost three weeks with a left groin strain, while Anderson has been on the injured list since July 24. Both players are nearing a return to the major league roster and could be reinstated from the injured list at some point early next week, barring a setback in minor league action. Berti has been much more valuable in fantasy in 2022 than Anderson, slashing .271/.365/.375 with two home runs, 19 RBI, 32 runs scored and a league-leading 28 stolen bases, so he needs to be grabbed immediately if he's available in your league. Anderson has hit .256/.346/.378 with three homers, 12 RBI, 26 runs and a stolen base in 180 at-bats.

  • Brian Anderson Lands On The Injured List

Miami Marlins infielder/outfielder Brian Anderson (shoulder) has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder sprain. The 29-year-old sustained the injury while laying out for a ball in the sixth inning of Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Anderson is slashing .256/.346/.378 with three home runs, 12 RBI, and a stolen base across 180 at-bats on the season.

  • Brian Anderson Back From The Injured List

The Miami Marlins activated third baseman Brian Anderson (back) from the injured list on Monday and optioned Luke Williams to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Anderson is immediately back in the starting lineup on Monday against St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright, starting at third base and hitting seventh in the batting order. The 29-year-old was out just under a month and went 1-for-10 with five strikeouts in five minor league rehab games. He was slashing .267/.374/.410 with two home runs, six RBI, 21 runs scored and one stolen base before his injury. Anderson should split playing time at the hot corner with Jon Berti, who has played very well this year, and he could lose even more playing time when Joey Wendle returns from his injury.

  • Joey Wendle, Brian Anderson Go On Injured List

The Miami Marlins placed infielders Joey Wendle (hamstring) and Brian Anderson (back) on the injured list on Wednesday. Wendle will go back to the injured list due to a right hamstring strain, while Anderson is dealing with back spasms. Wendle left the game early on Monday against the Colorado Rockies with right hamstring pain just two weeks after a stay on the IL for the same hamstring. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he's out longer this time around. He was hitting a solid .284/.340/.420 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored and four steals in 88 at-bats. With both Wendle and Anderson on the shelf, Luke Williams will see increased playing time at the hot corner. He's starting at third base and is batting ninth in Game 1 of a doubleheader against Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela on Wednesday.

  • Brian Anderson To Miss Third Straight Game

Miami Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson (back) remains out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Colorado Rockies. This marks his third game in a row that Anderson has missed due to back spasms. It's unclear how long Anderson is going to be sidelined, but hopefully he'll avoid a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers should consider Anderson day-to-day until further notice.
