  • David Peralta Sitting In First Game Of Doubleheader

    Headshot for David Peralta

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta is starting on the bench on Tuesday for Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Enrique Hernandez is in left field and batting sixth, James Outman is manning center and is hitting seventh, and Jason Heyward is starting in right field and in the five-hole against Rockies right-hander Chase Anderson in the first game of a double dip. Peralta hasn't started in the last two games for the Dodgers as he endures a rough patch at the plate. The 36-year-old left-handed hitter has gone just 7-for-42 (.167) with no homers, four doubles, three RBI, 13 strikeouts, one steal and three runs scored in 16 games (11 starts) in September. If he doesn't pick it up in the final week of the regular season, Peralta may see his playing time suffer in the postseason.

  • David Peralta Nursing Back Tightness

    Headshot for David Peralta

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta (back), who was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Seattle Mariners, is experiencing lower-back tightness. Kike Hernandez joined the lineup to defend left field in his absence. Peralta should be deemed day-to-day with his next chance to return coming on Saturday for the second game of the series. The 35-year-old longtime Arizona Diamondback is logging a career-worst .694 OPS with seven home runs, 20 doubles, 51 RBI, and four stolen bases in 351 at-bats with LA this year. Super-utility man Chris Taylor may also be asked to step up if Peralta misses additional time.

  • David Peralta Back In The Lineup On Tuesday

    Headshot for David Peralta

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta (elbow) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres. The veteran outfielder missed Monday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the elbow during Sunday's contest. Luckily, the X-rays came back negative, so it appears Peralta avoided serious injury. He appears ready to go on Tuesday after an extra day off to rest. He'll bat sixth and play left field versus right-hander Michael Wacha on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly with Peralta back.

  • David Peralta Not In Monday's Lineup

    Headshot for David Peralta

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta (elbow) is not in his team's lineup for a Monday game against the San Diego Padres, but he is reportedly available to pinch-hit. Peralta left Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals after getting hit by a pitch and is apparently still feeling the effects of that on Monday. Peralta will give way to Chris Taylor, who will hit seventh. It doesn't appear that Peralta is dealing with anything serious, so expect him back in the lineup in the near future even if he doesn't make an appearance as a pinch-hitter on Monday night.

  • David Peralta Avoids Serious Injury

    Headshot for David Peralta

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta (elbow) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals. The left-handed slugger was removed from the game after getting hit by a pitch in the second inning. He underwent X-rays that came back negative, so fantasy managers should consider Peralta as day-to-day right now. Fantasy managers should look for an update on his status ahead of Monday's contest against the San Diego Padres.

  • David Peralta Leaves With Injury

    Headshot for David Peralta

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta was removed from Sunday's game with a left elbow contusion. The injury could be minor and he should be considered day-to-day now. With 346 at-bats under his belt, Peralta has a respectable .272 batting average but doesn't offer much else for fantasy. If you're in an NL-only league, keep an eye on how long this injury could keep him out.
