  • Rays Acquire Jose Siri In Three-Team Deal

The Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder Jose Siri from the Houston Astros on Monday in a three-team deal that also involved the Baltimore Orioles sending first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini and right-hander Jayden Murray to the Astros for right-handers Seth Johnson and Chayce McDermott, according to sources. Siri was great for the Astros in 21 games in his rookie season in 2021, hitting .304/.347/.609 with a .956 OPS, four home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs scored and three stolen bases. However, he's really struggled in 48 games for Houston in 2022, slashing just .178/.238/.304 with three homers, 10 RBI, 18 runs scored and six stolen bases in 147 plate appearances. Tampa is expected to designate outfielder Brett Phillips for assignment to make room for Siri on the active roster.

  • Trey Mancini Acquired By Astros

The Houston Astros acquired first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini from the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, according to sources. It's unknown who the Orioles will get in exchange, but they are expected to receive multiple players. With Mancini now in town, the struggling Yuli Gurriel will now find himself on the bench more often. Houston's top first base target was Washington Nationals first baseman Josh Bell, so he's now unlikely to land with the Astros before Tuesday's deadline. The 30-year-old Mancini will bring the Astros an experienced hitter from the right side of the plate. In 354 at-bats with Baltimore this year, he was hitting .268/.347/.404 with 10 home runs, 41 RBI and 39 runs scored.

  • Trey Mancini Homers Against Rays

Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Trey Mancini went 2-for-4 with two RBI, a run scored and a strikeout in the 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. The long ball was his 10th of the season, a two-run shot, and he's had multiple hits in each of his last two games. The 30-year-old is hitting .271/.346/.411 with 10 homers, 40 RBI and 37 runs scored in 343 at-bats this season, and even though the Orioles have made a run of late, there's a chance that he could be traded before Tuesday's Aug. 2 deadline. In the month of July, Mancini has gone 20-for-82 (.244) with three home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in 21 games played.

  • Trey Mancini Returns To The Lineup

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini (hand) is back in the starting lineup on Saturday, starting in right field and hitting second against Minnesota Twins right-hander Sonny Gray. Mancini didn't start on Friday but later pinch hit. Although he's hitting .279/.355/.420 on the year, Mancini is just 9-for-41 (.220) with one home run and five RBI in 10 games over the last two weeks. The 30-year-old finished the month of June slashing .229/.312/.470 with four home runs, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and 23 strikeouts in 21 games and 93 plate appearances. Mancini is solid depth in deep mixed leagues, but he won't rack up the counting stats the way fantasy managers would like in Baltimore.

  • Trey Mancini Out Against Twins

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Twins. Mancini has now been out of Baltimore's lineup twice in the last three games after he was hit on the hand by a pitch last weekend. The 30-year-old's name has come up in trade talks recently, with the New York Mets interested in him, but as far as we know, no trade is imminent. His counting stats don't stand out, but Mancini has been solid for fantasy managers with a .280/.356/.421 slash line, seven home runs, 30 RBI and 30 runs scored in 295 plate appearances over 68 games. Ryan Mountcastle is at first base and is batting cleanup on Friday, while Anthony Santander is the designated hitter and is batting third against Twins right-hander Joe Ryan.

  • Trey Mancini Receiving Interest From Mets, Other Teams

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the New York Mets have checked in with the Baltimore Orioles on the availability of first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini. Heyman adds that other teams have been inquiring about Mancini as well, stating that the "market is heating up" for Mancini. The 30-year-old has spent the entirety of his six-year MLB career with the Orioles. Over 68 games this year, he's slashing .280/.356/.421 with seven home runs, 30 RBI an 30 runs. If the Mets wound up landing Mancini, he would likely earn a lot of time at designated hitter, meaning Dominic Smith and J.D. Davis would see their playing time decrease significantly. Heyman also mentioned Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi and Nationals first baseman Josh Bell as potential trade targets for the Mets.

  • X-Rays Come Back Clean On Trey Mancini's Hand

Baltimore Orioles' first baseman Trey Mancini (hand) underwent a precautionary X-ray on his left hand that came back clean following Saturday's 6-2 win over the Chicago White Sox. He said s hand is "fine" and should not miss any time after being hit the hand by a pitch in Saturday's win. The 30-year-old went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Mancini is slashing .285/.364/.427 with seven some runs, 28 RBI, and 29 runs scored over 65 games in 2022. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday to ensure Mancini is in the lineup before starting him in daily league formats.

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini (hand) is back in the starting lineup on Friday, playing first base and batting second against Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Shane Baz. Mancini was out of action since being hit on the right hand by a pitch on Monday, but he'll return for the weekend series against the Rays. The 30-year-old is 9-for-39 (.231) with three home runs and seven RBI in 47 plate appearances in the month of June so far, but overall he's been solid for fantasy managers with a slash line of .290/.373/.424 with six home runs, 25 RBI and 25 runs scored in 217 at-bats. Get Mancini back into your season-long lineups for the weekend.

  • Trey Mancini Still Out Against Blue Jays

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini (hand) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Mancini was hit on his right hand by a pitch on Monday and hasn't played since, and he said on Wednesday that he's still two to three days away from returning to action. Hopefully the 30-year-old will be able to return to the lineup at some point this weekend. Mancini is slashing a strong .290/.373/.424 with six home runs, 25 RBI and 25 runs scored in 249 plate appearances over 58 games for the O's this year. Rookie Adley Rutschmann, who hit his first MLB homer on Wednesday, is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup, while Robinson Chirinos will do the catching and hit eighth against Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman.

  • Trey Mancini Remains A Few Days Away

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini (hand) is being held out of action for the second straight game on Wednesday as the team takes on right-hander Jose Berrios and the Toronto Blue Jays. Mancini is dealing with a sore right hand after he was hit in his hand by a pitch from Alek Manoah on Monday. On Wednesday, Mancini stated that the swelling was down on his hand and estimated that he'd be back in the starting lineup in two or three days. He also said he could be available off the bench on Thursday.

  • Trey Mancini Stays Hot With Three Hits Monday

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini had another nice day at the plate in Monday's 10-0 win over the Reds Sox. Mancini went 3-for-4 with two singles, a triple, an RBI, and a walk. The power hasn't been there but everything else has, as the 30-year-old is now slashing .309/.379/.406 with three home runs and 18 RBI. He is currently rostered in just 64 percent of leagues, so he is a viable, available option for fantasy managers looking to get a boost to their lineups.
