Kris Bryant Set To Play Wednesday
Colorado Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant (back) is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third in Wednesday's Cactus League lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers and left-hander Clayton Kershaw. Bryant dealt with back stiffness the last couple of days, but he's back in there on Wednesday. The 31-year-old veteran also missed considerable time in 2022 in his first year with the Rockies due to a back injury, so it's understandable that the Rockies aren't taking any chances with him in spring training. The four-time All-Star played in just 42 games last year, but he hit .306 with five home runs and 14 RBI in 181 plate appearances. Bryant will come cheap in drafts this year because of last year's injuries and his drop in power, so he could be a nice late-round value pick if he stays on the field in 2023.

Kris Bryant Scratched From Monday's Game
Colorado Rockies third baseman Kris Bryant was a late scratch ahead of Monday's Cactus League game. It sounds like the slugger isn't dealing with an injury, but the team wanted to give him an extra day to rest. The Rockies are trying to manage Bryant's workload heading into 2023 after he played 42 games last season. The 31-year-old is hitting .278 with three home runs and four RBI this spring. Bryant has the potential to be a superstar, but injuries continue to hold him back. Hopefully, Bryant can stay healthy and should benefit from playing in Coors Field.

Kris Bryant Homers In Cactus League Game Monday
Colorado Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant looked good at the plate in Monday's 7-3 win over the A's, going 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk. The 31-year-old served as the designated hitter in the game, but will likely play left field during the regular season. This is encouraging for both the Rockies and fantasy managers, as Bryant missed the majority of the 2022 season due to a number of injuries, including a season-ending foot injury. He likely will only be outfield eligible this season, which is a shame given the relative scarcity of third base. However, Bryant has provided pop and average with a bit of speed throughout his career, and he should be able to benefit from Coors Field if he can stay healthy.

Rockies Notes: Bryant, Bird, Suter
Kris Bryant’s first season in Colorado didn’t go as envisioned, with injuries combining to limit the former MVP to 42 games. Bryant hit well in that limited look, posting a .306/.376/.475 line with a career-low 14.9% strikeout rate, but he spent virtually the entire second half on the injured list due to plantar fasciitis in his…
Feb 22 · MLB Trade Rumors Rockies Jake Bird Kris Bryant Brent Suter closersKris Bryant A Full Participant In Activities
Colorado Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant (foot) hasn't suffered any setbacks and is a full participant in all spring training activities. Bryant missed the majority of 2022 due to a plethora of injuries, culminating in a season-ending foot injury. He played in just 42 games and slashed .306/.376/.475 with an .851 OPS. The 31-year-old is poised for a healthy 2023 season as he hopes to prove to the Rockies that their investment was worth all $182 million. Bryant was productive in 2021 after splitting his season with the Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants. He received an All-Star nod and smacked 25 home runs with an .835 OPS. If the Rockies can get Bryant back on track, he'll likely be the focal point of the offense.

Kris Bryant To Be Full-Go For Spring Training
Colorado Rockies third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (foot) said over the weekend that he will head into spring training fully healthy and without restrictions. Bryant only managed to play in 42 games in his first year with the Rockies due to multiple injuries, mainly plantar fasciitis in his foot. It's good news that he's healthy already, but fantasy managers will be wary that the 31-year-old slugger can continue to stay healthy as he heads into the latter portion of his career. When the four-time All-Star was healthy in 2022, though, he hit a strong .306/.376/.475 with an .851 OPS, five home runs, 14 RBI and 28 runs scored in 181 plate appearances. Bryant's power was down, but he's a prime bounce-back candidate in the best hitting environment in baseball in 2023 and will have eligibility at third base and the outfield.

Kris Bryant Expected To Be Healthy For Spring Training
Despite being limited to 42 games due to a lower back strain and left foot plantar fasciitis, Rockies’ outfielder Kris Bryant has proclaimed himself 100% ready for baseball, reports Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post. Saunders adds that Bryant does not anticipate any restrictions when he reports to Salt River Fields for Spring Training. Manager…
Jan 15 · MLB Trade Rumors Rockies Kris BryantKris Bryant Should Be Ready For Spring Training
The Colorado Rockies are optimistic that third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (foot) will be ready for spring training after he was limited to 42 games in 2022 due to plantar fasciitis. "Our trainers and strength guys have checked in with him and from everything I'm being told he looks good. We are optimistic about him showing up (healthy) at spring training," general manager Bill Schmidt said. When Bryant was on the field in his first year in Colorado, he hit well, slashing .306/.376/.475 with five home runs in 181 plate appearances. The 30-year-old is no longer in his prime, but he resides in the best hitting environment in baseball and could easily bounce back as a value pick in fantasy drafts if he's able to stay healthy in 2023. We'll be monitoring his status closely as spring training nears.
