  • Mookie Betts Not In The Lineup Against Brewers

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers. It looks to be a regular day of rest for Betts, but fantasy managers need to make sure to move him to their benches for the day. The 29-year-old has been great so far in the month of August, going 19-for-63 (.302) with four home runs, nine RBI, 15 runs scored and three stolen bases in 15 games played. It will be Betts' first day off since July 3. Joey Gallo will start in right field on Thursday and will hit seventh against Brewers right-hander Corbin Burnes. Gallo was terrible with the New York Yankees before being dealt to LA at the trade deadline, but he's been better so far with the Dodgers in nine games, going 6-for-23 (.261) with three home runs and five RBI.

  • Mookie Betts Hits Three-Run Homer On Thursday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts had the team's biggest hit of the day against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. In the eighth inning of the game, while the score was tied 6-6, Betts launched a three-run homer that would give the team a lead it wouldn't relinquish. The home run was his only hit of the day as he went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base. The 29-year-old missed some time due to injuries during the first half of the year, but he's been fantastic when he's been on the field. Across 74 games, he's slashed .265/.341/.530 while compiling 21 home runs, seven stolen bases, 50 RBI and 64 runs.

  • Mookie Betts Doubles, Scores A Run In Comeback Victory

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts helped the team complete a come-from-behind victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday. He took part in the team's three-run eighth inning by doubling in a run and then scoring himself. The double was his only hit of the game as he went 1-for-6 with three strikeouts. Betts has looked good since returning from the injured list on July 3. He's compiled three doubles, three homers and nine runs since returning to action. The 29-year-old superstar owns a .269/.345/.535 slash line on the year to go along with 20 home runs, 47 RBI and 62 runs.

  • Mookie Betts Playing Second Base On Monday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts will be playing second base in Monday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The 29-year-old was activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday and the team is going to attempt to preserve his legs by giving him some starts at the keystone going forward. There's a good chance he'll get enough starts at second base to earn eligibility there in a number of fantasy formats. That would of course increase his fantasy value as second base is one of the weakest positions in fantasy. Betts showed no signs of rust in his return to action on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks and two runs scored in the game.

  • Mookie Betts Activated, Back In Leadoff Spot Sunday

As expected, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (ribs) has been activated from the 10-day injured list. He is back in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the San Diego Padres. He will be hitting leadoff and covering right field in the game. Betts wound up missing about two weeks due to a rib injury. The 29-year-old is in the midst of a stellar season. He has a .273/.349/.535 slash line to go along with 17 home runs, six stolen bases, 40 RBI and 53 runs over 60 games.

  • Mookie Betts Gets In On-Field Workout Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (ribs) got in an on-field workout on Friday before his team's game against the San Diego Padres. Betts has been on the injured list since June 19 after injuring his ribs. Betts reportedly "felt good" after his workout and could possibly be activated from the injured list in the next few days. The All-Star outfielder is hitting .273 with 17 homers, 53 runs, 40 RBI, and six steals on the season.

  • Mookie Betts Could Return Early Next Week

Los Angeles Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts said "early next week is certainly a possibility" for outfielder Mookie Betts (ribs) to return from the injured list. There's also a chance that Betts will play some second base when he returns in order to minimize his throwing, according to Roberts. The 29-year-old took batting practice on Thursday, and there's a chance that he'll be back as early as July 4 next Monday. The Dodgers could also ease Betts back into action without having him throw by using him as the designated hitter. Either way, fantasy managers won't complain, as Betts is a no-brainer must-start fantasy asset when healthy. The former MVP was hitting .273/.349/.535 with an .884 OPS, 17 home runs, 40 RBI, 53 runs scored and six stolen bases in 60 games before he was injured.

  • Mookie Betts Taking Batting Practice Thursday

Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts (ribs), who is on the injured list with a right-rib fracture, is taking batting practice on Thursday at Dodger Stadium. The team is hopeful that he will return by the All-Star break, although he could initially be limited to designated hitter duties. The 29-year-old superstar landed on the injured list on June 18, but he resumed baseball activities on Wednesday and is getting closer to a return. Until Betts returns, expect Eddy Alvarez and Trayce Thompson to continue splitting playing time in right field for the Blue. Before his injury, Betts was swinging it well with a .273/.349/.535 slash line with an .884 OPS, 17 home runs, 40 RBI, 53 runs scored and six stolen bases.

  • Mookie Betts Likely To Return Before All-Star Break

Los Angeles Dodgers managers Dave Roberts is "very optimistic" star outfielder Mookie Betts (ribs) will be back before the All-Star break on July 16. According to Roberts, the 29-year-old could be limited to serving as the team's primary designated hitter as throwing has been more bothersome for him than swinging. He was placed on the injured list with a cracked rib on June 18 and resumed baseball activities on Wednesday. The former Boston Red Sox outfielder slashed .273/.349/.535 with 17 home runs, 40 RBI, 53 runs scored, and six stolen bases across 275 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Betts and expect him to return to the active roster soon. Eddy Alvarez and Trayce Thompson will continue to see an uptick in at-bats while Betts is sidelined.

  • Mookie Betts Not Cleared For Baseball Activities

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (ribs) has not been cleared for baseball activities yet, according to manager Dave Roberts. The organization was hopeful that Betts would return within two weeks. That timetable is not realistic and fantasy managers should expect Betts to be sidelined until around the All-Star break. This is certainly frustrating for fantasy managers, but they will have to be patient for a little longer.

  • Mookie Betts Will Placed On The IL With Cracked Rib

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (rib) is expected to be placed on the injured list with a cracked rib. The 29-year-old was a late scratch for Saturday the second day in a row. X-rays on Betts' ribs came back negative on Friday. However, he underwent an MRI on Saturday, revealing a cracked rib. Betts will miss at least the next 10 days and won't be eligible to return until the end of June. Eddy Alvarez and Hanser Alberto should see an uptick in playing time while Betts is sidelined, but both players are mainly a speculative add in deep-league formats.

  • Mookie Betts Scratched From Lineup Again Saturday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is sitting for the second consecutive game on Saturday. Although he was originally in the lineup, the fantasy superstar is apparently still not ready to go after suffering a rib injury earlier in the week. The good news is that X-rays on Betts' ribs came back negative on Friday. It is likely that the Dodgers are just being extremely cautious with Betts, who has had injury problems the last few seasons. Expect Betts to return to the lineup either tomorrow or early next week.

  • X-Rays Negative On Mookie Betts' Ribs

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (ribs) received X-rays on his ribs on Friday and they came back negative. He is slated to get a CT scan on Saturday. Betts was a late scratch from Friday's game against the Cleveland Guardians with a rib injury. He suffered the injury during an outfield collision this past week. The 29-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now. He's in the midst of another monster season, slashing .273/.349/.535 with 17 home runs, 40 RBI and 53 runs over 60 games.

  • Mookie Betts Goes 0-For-6 In Win Over White Sox

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts had a rough time at the plate in the team's 11-9 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. He went 0-for-6 with a pair of strikeouts. Betts must be happy that the team's three-game series against the White Sox is over. He went just 1-for-14 with three strikeouts across the three-game set. The 29-year-old was phenomenal at the plate in May and he has some gaudy season-long numbers as a result. Over 55 games, he's slashing .289/.366/.560 with 16 home runs, six stolen bases, 39 RBI and 52 runs.

  • Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts Out Wednesday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielders Cody Bellinger (illness) and Mookie Betts are not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. Bellinger will be out for the second straight game after he was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with a non-COVID-19 illness. Betts is getting a regular day of rest. Gavin Lux is in left field and hitting seventh, Chris Taylor is in center and batting fifth and Hanser Alberto is in right and hitting eighth against Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde on Wednesday. Bellinger has five homers on the year and six stolen bases, but he's hitting just .216 with a .288 on-base percentage in 40 games for LA. Betts, meanwhile, has been his usual solid self with a .292/.385/.578 slash line with a .963 OPS, a league-leading 12 home runs, 30 RBI, a league-leading 44 runs and three stolen bases in 40 games.
