  • Jose Ramirez Drills Three Extra-Base Hits

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 3-for-3 with three doubles and a walk in Saturday's 7-3 loss to Seattle. Ramirez couldn't be kept off the basepaths as he reached safely in each of his four trips to the dish. The 28-year-old has been excellent over the last week, going 7-for-23 with two home runs and five RBI. Ramirez should continue to be one of the top fantasy assets in any format, as evidenced by his excellent Statcast metrics, particularly his 95th-percentile or better rankings in expected batting average, slugging percentage, and strikeout rate.

  • Jose Ramirez Breaks Out Of Slump

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run shot in Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox. The two-run blast came off Lance Lynn in the sixth inning and gave the Indians a 2-1 lead, a lead which they would not relinquish. The home run was great to see as Ramirez had been hitless in his previous 19 at-bats up to that point. He will look to warm up in the Indians' next series this weekend against the in-state rival Cincinnati Reds.

  • Jose Ramirez Hitless Over Last 17 At-Bats

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez is in the midst of a cold stretch. He's gone hitless over his last six games, going 0-for-17 with three walks and five strikeouts. He had a six-game hitting streak to kick off the season, which included a two home run game last Wednesday, but he's been a non-factor for fantasy managers since that streak. Ramirez has gone through cold stretches before and has always come out fine by the end of the season. Despite hitting just .220 and only having three extra-base hits, his hard-hit rate so far this year (38.2%) is actually up from last year (35.6%). Fantasy managers should remain patient. Ramirez will turn things around soon.

  • Jose Ramirez Homers Twice Wednesday

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with two two-run home runs in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Kansas City Royals. The home runs were Ramirez's first RBIs of the season and they were surely needed in this one as he provided all the offense for the Tribe. Despite the lack of run production, Ramirez is still having a solid season as he is now 7-for-20 with three runs scored, two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Ramirez should only continue to heat up as the season moves along and fantasy players should be excited for his performance today.

  • Jose Ramirez Still Searching For First RBI

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez hasn't had any trouble getting on base so far this year. He's recorded a hit in each of his four games and is 5-for-16 with a double, a walk and just one strikeout on the young season. However, he's yet to record his first RBI of the year. The Indians have struggled offensively. They were shutout by Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals on Monday and were only able to eclipse two runs in one of their three games against the Detroit Tigers to open the year. Cesar Hernandez, who has hit second in each game, is hitting just .143 while Jordan Luplow, who has led off three of four games, is hitting .125. Not having Francisco Lindor in front of him will cost Ramirez some significant run production numbers. He's still going to be an extremely valuable fantasy asset, but don't expect gaudy RBI numbers.

  • Jose Ramirez Collects Two Hits In Win Over Rangers

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Rangers. Ramirez has had a bit of a quiet spring- he has yet to hit a homer- so it was nice to see him raise his average to .276. The 28-year-old had another strong season in 2020, slashing .292/.386/.607 with 17 home runs, 46 RBI, 45 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases in 58 games. Ramirez is the rare type of fantasy asset who excels in both formats. He's a five-category producer in roto formats- and his ability to produce monster numbers while avoiding strikeouts makes him valuable in points leagues. He's worth every bit of his first-round ADP.

  • Jose Ramirez Doubles Saturday

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 1-for-3 with an RBI double in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Ramirez is now 4-for-16 with two RBI and two stolen bases across his first six spring games. Ramirez will be a stalwart in the middle of the Indians' lineup in 2021 after he slashed .292/.386/.607 with 17 home runs, 46 RBI, and 10 stolen bases en route to finishing in second place for the AL MVP in 2020. He is currently the first third baseman being taken off the board at an ADP of 11, and deservedly so.

  • Jose Ramirez, Franmil Reyes Break COVID-19 Protocols

The Cleveland Indians sent Jose Ramirez and Franmil Reyes home for breaking Major League Baseball's COVID-19 protocols. The pair were at a restaurant without their masks and Reyes also reportedly had a haircut. He was caught breaking the rules last year, too. Pitchers Zach Plesac and Mike Clevinger also broke the rules in 2020 and the latter hurler was eventually traded. This is the first known violation for Ramirez. Manager Terry Francona said the players were sent home to isolate themselves from the team and the league was notified. No decision has been made on a potential punishment for the players. They have also undergone COVID-19 testing.

  • Jose Ramirez Hitless Wednesday

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's bout with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ramirez has gotten off to a rocky start this spring as he is now 0-for-6 with two strikeouts through his first six at-bats. Ramirez will likely rebound as he gets back into the groove of baseball activities and is a sure-fire first-round selection in fantasy drafts after slashing .292/.386/.607 with 17 home runs, 46 RBI, and 10 stolen bases en route to a second-place MVP finish.
