  • Kolten Wong Not Starting On Monday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong isn't in the lineup on Monday for a matchup with the Chicago Cubs and left-handed starter Justin Steele. The 31-year-old is batting .235 with a .325 on-base percentage, six home runs, and eight stolen bases this season. Luis Urias is moving over from third base to start at second base, while Mike Brosseau is entering the lineup at third base. Urias is batting fifth against Steele while Brosseau will hit cleanup against the Cubs left-hander.

  • Kolten Wong Activated And Starting On Tuesday

The Milwaukee Brewers have activated second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) from the 10-day injured list. He will be batting fifth in the lineup for Tuesday's game against right-hander Shane Baz and the Tampa Bay Rays. Wong missed about three weeks due to a calf injury. While he was gone, Luis Urias handled the keystone while Jace Peterson primarily covered Urias's usual third base post. Peterson is back in the outfield for Tuesday's game and should continue to see regular playing time with Wong back. Meanwhile, outfielder Jonathan Davis should see reduced action going forward.

  • Kolten Wong Expected To Return Tuesday

Milwaukee Brewers' second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. He has been sidelined since June 7 with a calf injury. The 31-year-old will complete a rehab assignment with High-A Wisconsin before returning to the majors on Tuesday. He is slashing .228/.321/.389 with five home runs, 17 RBI, 26 runs, and eight stolen bases over 52 games in 2022. Wong will return as the Brewers' primary second baseman, and fantasy managers should continue to roll with him in most league formats once he's officially activated.

  • Kolten Wong Has Setback, Return Date Pushed Back

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) took some swings in the cage Tuesday but isn't expected to resume hitting or running on the field during the current series against the St. Louis Cardinals. According to Brewers manager Craig Counsell, Wong is "starting the process over" after a setback with his calf. The 31-year-old has been sidelined since June 7 and is eligible to return from the injured list. Before landing on the injured list, he slashed .228/.321/.389 with five home runs, 17 RBI, 26 runs, and eight stolen bases over 52 games in 2022. Fantasy managers might have to wait another week before Wong will return to the lineup. Jace Peterson will continue to handle second-base duties while Wong is sidelined.

  • Kolten Wong Targeting Saturday For A Return

Milwaukee Brewers' second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) hopes to return from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Saturday. He has been sidelined since June 7 due to calf soreness. The 31-year-old planned on doing some running on Tuesday and is expected to be ready to play by Saturday. He is slashing .228/.321/.389 with five home runs, 17 RBI, 26 runs, and eight stolen bases over 52 games in 2022. Fantasy managers should have Wong available for the weekend. Luis Urias will continue to handle second base duties while Jace Peterson shifts to the hot corner while Wong is sidelined. This week, Peterson can be used as a streamer as the 32-year-old smashed six home runs and stole eight bags across 53 games in 2022.

  • Kolten Wong Lands On Injured List

The Milwaukee Brewers placed second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a right calf strain and recalled infielder/outfielder Mark Mathias and right-hander Peter Strzelecki from Triple-A Nashville in corresponding moves. Right-hander Luke Barker was also optioned to Nashville. Wong had been out of the lineup since leaving Tuesday's game early with a sore calf. The IL placement is retroactive to Wednesday. Luis Urias had shifted over to the keystone with Wong out this week, but Mathias will get the start at the keystone and hit ninth on Saturday against Washington Nationals left-hander Patrick Corbin. Wong is hitting a disappointing .228 this year with five home runs, but he does have eight stolen bases in 180 at-bats.

  • Kolten Wong Still Sidelined

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) remains out of the starting lineup on Friday against the Washington Nationals. Wong will miss his third straight game due to right calf pain. The 31-year-old has hit just .228/.321/.389 on the season with five home runs, 17 RBI and 26 runs scored, but he's been useful in fantasy for his speed, as he's swiped eight stolen bases in 52 games for the Brew Crew. Luis Urias will play second base again and bat cleanup, while Jace Peterson is at the hot corner and is batting sixth against Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde. Urias is just 2-for-17 with eight K's in five games in June, while Peterson has gone 6-for-26 with no homers and four RBI in eight games so far this month.

  • Kolten Wong Exits Early With Calf Discomfort

Milwaukee Brewers' second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with calf right calf discomfort. He went 0-for-1 before exiting. Keston Hiura replaced the 31-year-old in the fourth inning. Wong continues to deal with a calf issue and missed a game last week after being hit by a pitch in the calf. The severity of his calf injury is unknown, and Wong is considered day-to-day. Hiura would see an uptick in playing time if Wong were to miss any games. The 25-year-old is a speculative add in most league formats after hitting .218 with five home runs and two stolen bases over 29 games in 2022.

  • Kolten Wong Hits Two Homers On Sunday

Milwaukee Brewers infielder Kolten Wong put together a strong performance during Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres. Wong has been off to a slow start to the season, but finally got the bat going on Sunday. He went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in the 6-4 loss. This performance marked his fifth career multi home run game. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for Wong.

  • Kolten Wong Among Leaders In Steals

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong has stolen five bases in May, keeping him among the league leaders in steals on the season with eight. He has only been caught once this season. Although a .226/.310/.380 slash line leaves plenty to be desired, Wong has also chipped in three homers, 20 runs, and 13 RBI in 153 plate appearances. The steals alone would keep him on fantasy rosters, but the runs make him a solid starter in most formats.

  • Kolten Wong Out, Luis Urias Leading Off Thursday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong is not in the starting lineup on Thursday, while third baseman Luis Urias moves to second base and up to the leadoff spot against Cincinnati Reds right-handed rookie Hunter Greene. Urias hit ninth and seventh in his first two games back from the injured list, but he'll move up to leadoff on Thursday with Wong getting a breather. The 24-year-old will have added DFS intrigue out of the leadoff spot against the hard-throwing Greene on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jace Peterson will get the start at the hot corner and will hit eighth for the Brew Crew. Peterson has just seven hits in 44 at-bats with one home run and four RBI and is a desperation DFS selection.

  • Kolten Wong Removed From Friday's Game With Illness

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Kolten Wong left Friday night's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with a stomach illness. Wong went 0-for-1 before leaving the contest following the top of the third inning. He was replaced in the lineup by first baseman Rowdy Tellez, with Keston Hiura sliding over to second base. Look for the Brewers to update Wong's status after the game, although it seems unlikely that he will miss much time. Wong is off to a slow start in 2022, hitting just .188 with no homers and five RBI.
