  • Christian Walker, Tommy Pham Back In The Lineup

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker (elbow) and outfielder Tommy Pham (finger) are both back in the lineup on Monday to face the visiting Colorado Rockies and right-hander Peter Lambert. Walker is at first base and batting cleanup, while Pham is serving as the designated hitter and batting third in the order. Walker left Saturday's game early following a hit by pitch on his right elbow, but he went deep as a pinch-hitter on Saturday and is now back in the starting lineup. The 32-year-old should be returned to starting fantasy lineups after crushing his 30th homer of the year Sunday. Pham hurt his right pinkie in frustration on Saturday and took the day off on Sunday. Since being acquired in a trade with the Mets, he's gone 24-for-103 (.233) with three homers, 17 RBI and six steals in 26 games for the Snakes.

  • Tommy Pham In Three-Hole In Debut With Arizona

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Tommy Pham will serve as the designated hitter and bat third in the order in his D-backs debut on Thursday against left-hander Scott Alexander and the San Francisco Giants. The Snakes landed Pham from the New York Mets on Tuesday in a deadline deal, and he'll give Arizona a bit more pop in either the outfield or at DH the rest of the way as they look to get into the postseason. The move to the desert should be a slight fantasy boost for the 35-year-old veteran, as long as he continues to swing the bat like he did for the Mets to this point in the year. Through 79 games in 2023, Pham is hitting .268/.348/.472 with an .820 OPS, 10 home runs, 15 doubles, a triple, 36 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 29 runs scored in 264 trips to the plate. His power/speed combination still plays in most fantasy leagues.

  • Tommy Pham Traded To Diamondbacks

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham was expected to be moved all week long and will now be a last-second deadline move. The 35-year-old is headed to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for 17-year-old shortstop Jeremy Rodriguez. This was probably the best deal the Mets were going to get on the impending free agent. Pham is slashing .268/.348/.472 with 10 home runs, 36 RBI, and 11 stolen bases in 63 games. This move gives the D-Backs a slight boost in the outfield for a small price.

  • Mets Getting Interest In Tommy Pham, Brooks Raley

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

The Mets have plenty of interest in outfielder Tommy Pham and left-handed reliever Brooks Raley, reports Andy Martino of SNY. A Pham trade could come together soon, per the report, but the Mets are weighing whether to trade Raley at all or hang onto him and the $6.5MM option they hold over his 2024 season.…

  • Dodgers Showing Interest In Mark Canha, Tommy Pham

    Headshot for Mark Canha

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to bulk up their roster as they attempt to stay on top of the NL West. That being said, the team is reportedly interested in acquiring outfielders Mark Canha and Tommy Pham from the New York Mets. The Mets are reportedly seeking lower level prospects in return for the veteran outfielders. Canha is slashing .242/.339/.379 with six home runs and 29 RBI in 72 games. Pham is doing better with a .266/.349/.464 slash line with nine home runs, 35 RBI, and 11 steals in 61 games. Both players are set to become free agents at the end of the season.

  • Tommy Pham On The Bench Thursday

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham will take the day off on Thursday against the visiting Washington Nationals. In his place, Mark Canha will make the start in left field and hit seventh in the batting order against Nationals right-hander Josiah Gray. Pham has dealt with a nagging groin injury so far in the second half of the season, which might help explain why he has only two hits in 16 at-bats with a double, one RBI, a stolen base and three runs scored in seven games since the All-Star break. The 35-year-old has been decent for the Mets in 2023 with nine home runs, 35 RBI and 11 stolen bases in his 76 games played, and he could be a trade candidate before next Tuesday's deadline. Canha hasn't been much better of late, going 3-for-20 with no home runs or RBI in his last six games.

  • Francisco Alvarez, Tommy Pham Back In Mets Lineup

    Headshot for Francisco Alvarez

New York Mets rookie catcher Francisco Alvarez (hand) and outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) are both back in the starting lineup on Wednesday against New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon. Alvarez is catching and batting eighth, while Pham is serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth in the Subway Series finale. Alvarez took a pitch off his right hand on Tuesday, but X-rays came back negative and the 21-year-old rookie is back in there the next day. He's been a tremendous asset at the catching position in fantasy in his first full year in the big leagues with 19 home runs and 41 RBI. Pham is back in there for the first time since last Thursday, and he'll be eased back in as the DH. The 35-year-old trade candidate has hit a respectable .271 on the year with nine home runs and 11 stolen bases in 75 games.

  • Tommy Pham Not Ready To Return

    Headshot for Mark Canha

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday with the team taking on the New York Yankees. Pham was a pinch-hitter in Sunday's series finale against the Boston Red Sox, but he'll have to wait another day to get back into the starting lineup after dealing with a nagging right-groin injury that he's had since just before the All-Star break. Mark Canha is getting another start in left field and will hit eighth against Yankees right-hander Domingo German. Pham is a potential trade piece for the disappointing Mets as the Aug. 1 trade deadline nears, but he needs to get back on the field to boost his trade value. The 35-year-old veteran is batting a solid .271/.355/.472 on the year with nine home runs, 35 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 28 runs scored in 218 at-bats.

  • Tommy Pham Not In Lineup Against Boston

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) is not in the starting lineup on Friday as the team takes on the Boston Red Sox. Pham tweaked his right groin in the game on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox and will unsurprisingly sit out this contest. The 35-year-old also tweaked the same side of his groin in the final game of the first half of the season, but he's avoided the injured list for now. The Mets don't expect to put Pham on the injured list, but he could miss more games this weekend. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Mark Canha, who could be a trade candidate this summer, is starting in left field on Friday and is hitting eighth in the batting order against Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford.

  • Tommy Pham Could Go On Injured List

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

Updating a previous report, New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) felt his right groin stiffen up on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox and was removed from the game early, according to manager Buck Showalter. The skipper said that Pham could go on the injured list, but he'll go for tests first. Pham tweaked his groin in the final game before the All-Star break but never went on the IL, but the injury has resurfaced and he could need some time off. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to be back in the lineup on Friday against the Boston Red Sox. The 35-year-old veteran went 0-for-2 on Thursday before being removed from the game to drop his season average to .272 with an .831 OPS.

  • Tommy Pham Exits Early On Thursday

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham exited Thursday afternoon's game against the Chicago White Sox with what appeared to be a lower-body injury. Pham labored down the line while grounding into a double play to end the bottom of the third inning and was removed from the contest after taking the field in the top half of the fourth inning. Pham has dealt with a groin injury this season but it's unclear if this injury is related in any way. The veteran is hitting .272 with nine home runs and 11 stolen bases across 74 appearances on the season. Luis Guillorme took Pham's spot in the lineup in the two-hole.

  • Tommy Pham Remains Out Sunday

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) is out of the lineup for a second consecutive game on Sunday against Bobby Miller and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 35-year-old is suffering from a strained groin, but there's no word on if he'll need a stint on the injured list. Pham's been one of the best surprises in 2023, as he's slashing .271/.347/.476 with nine homers, 25 runs, 34 RBI, and 10 stolen bases across 71 games. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for more updates on his status. Mark Canha will take his place on the field and bat eighth. The veteran doesn't do anything special, but his .340 OBP and career .348 mark keeps him relevant in OBP leagues.

  • Tommy Pham To Sit Out On Saturday

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 35-year-old slugger has been battling a strained groin, so possibly this is the Mets easing him back into action. Regardless, Pham will sit this one out, so DJ Stewart will cover left field and bat seventh versus right-hander Tony Gonsolin on Saturday. The expectation is that Pham will return to the lineup after this day off.

  • Tommy Pham Ready To Roll For Second Half

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) is back in the lineup on Friday to face the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers and left-hander Julio Urias for the start of the second half of the season. Pham is serving as the designated hitter and is batting in the two-hole. It looked like the 35-year-old might be headed to the injured list after leaving the first-half finale last Sunday against the San Diego Padres with a right-groin injury, but the All-Star break this week allowed him to heal up. Pham will have a tough matchup right out of the gates in the second half against Urias, a pitcher that he's hitting .250 against in his career with one solo home run in 12 at-bats. Pham had a solid first half for the disappointing Mets and could be a trade candidate leading up to the Aug. 1 deadline.

  • Tommy Pham Considered Day-To-Day

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) was re-evaluated on Wednesday and is considered day-to-day with right-groin soreness, according to the team. Pham left the finale of the first half of the season on Sunday against the San Diego Padres after tweaking his groin, but it sounds like he'll avoid a trip to the injured to begin the second half this weekend. The 35-year-old should be back on Friday to start a series against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers, but fantasy managers will want to check back on Friday just to be sure. Pham had a strong first half for the Mets and leads the team with an .836 OPS through 206 at-bats. With the Mets well out of first place in the National League East, he could be a trade candidate come the Aug. 1 deadline.

  • Tommy Pham's MRI Comes Back Negative

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham's (groin) MRI exam in New York on Monday came back negative, according to the team. Pham had tests done on his right groin after tweaking it in Sunday's loss to the San Diego Padres, but thankfully it doesn't appear to be too serious of an injury. And with the All-Star break this week, Pham's injury comes at a good time. The second half of the season doesn't kick off until Friday, so the 35-year-old veteran could be ready for this weekend's series opener against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Friday to see if he's active. Pham has had a pretty solid season for the Mets, hitting .277 with nine home runs, 34 RBI, 10 stolen bases and 25 runs scored. He went into the break hot, going 16-for-45 (.356) with two homers, four doubles, five RBI, two steals and seven runs scored in his last 12 games since June 27.

  • Tommy Pham Injured On Sunday

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham (groin) exited Sunday's meeting with the Padres. He didn't last long before suffering a groin injury while fielding a hit in the bottom of the first. The 35-year-old is batting .278 with 57 hits, nine homers, and 34 RBI, so it's not an ideal situation. There should be an update on Pham's condition soon. However, judging by his level of distress, he'll probably miss some time.

  • Tommy Pham Could Be Traded

    Headshot for Tommy Pham

New York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham has become the team's most productive hitter in the last month or so. Since May 18, he is hitting .324 (33-for-102) with five home runs, nine doubles, a triple, 22 RBI, seven stolen bases and 15 runs scored in 30 games played. It has crossed Pham's mind that he could be traded before the Aug. 1 deadline with the Mets sitting at 36-45, 17.5 games out of first place in the National League East. The 35-year-old has been part of deadline deals in the past. He has become the everyday left fielder and is now hitting .273 (47-for-172) with eight homers, 31 RBI and nine steals in 60 games in Queens. For Pham, a change of scenery may be exactly what he doesn't need, as he seems to be pretty comfortable in his current situation in New York.
