Logan Webb Pushed Back To Saturday

  • Headshot for Logan Webb

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb (back) will receive two extra days of rest and will now be pushed back to Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers after leaving his last start with back tightness. Manager Gabe Kapler said there was no cause for concern. Webb threw from 90 feet on Tuesday and didn't have any issues. "We just like to give a guy an extra day or two when we can," Kapler said. "We saw what it did for Alex Cobb (who has made two starts on six days of rest this season). We want to repeat that from time to time, give guys an extra day and come out with their best stuff." The 26-year-old right-hander has been solid for fantasy managers this year with a 2.91 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 65 strikeouts in 65 innings over 10 starts, but he'll be a bit more of a risk against the Brew Crew this weekend.
