  • Gavin Lux On Track To Return Next Monday

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux (wrist), who was placed on the injured list on April 18 with right wrist soreness, is on track to be activated when he's eligible, which would be for next Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. "He's still swinging, taking grounders, running, throwing, and he's hitting in the cage," said manager Dave Roberts. "Hopefully we'll get him on the field [at Dodger Stadium], hopefully Thursday. [He'll] take some batting practice and then hopefully [face live pitching] at some point over the weekend." A combination of Max Muncy, Zach McKinstry, Sheldon Neuse and Chris Taylor have seen action at the keystone with Lux sidelined, and that should continue into this weekend's series against the division-rival San Diego Padres.

  • Corey Seager Drives Home Lone Dodgers Run In Win

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager went 1-for-4 with an RBI-single in the Dodgers 1-0 win over the Mariners on Tuesday. Seager's single to center in the third inning plated the only run the Dodgers needed with starter Julio Urias on the mound and the RBI was Seager's 13th of the season. The 26-year-old is off to a great start in this young season, with nine extra-base hits and is sporting a .507 slugging percentage through his first 67 at-bats. Seager will try and parlay his production over the last two games and turn it into a hot streak heading into Wednesday's action.

  • Kenley Jansen Notches Fourth Save

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Kenley Jansen worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning to notch his fourth save of the season on Tuesday. Jansen came into the ninth with the Dodgers holding onto a 1-0 lead- and made it look easy, setting down the top-three in the Mariners' order in a scoreless frame while registering two strikeouts. The veteran closer has four of his team's seven saves this season and has a 2.25 ERA. He remains one of the best closing options in fantasy baseball, given that he plays on one of the best teams, if not the best, in the league. The Dodgers will continue to monitor his usage, though he should have no trouble hitting the 30-save mark provided he stays healthy.

  • Julio Urias Pitches Gem On Tuesday

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias was outstanding in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Mariners. Urias pitched seven shutout innings, allowing a walk and a hit apiece while striking out a career-high 11 batters. The 24-year-old southpaw was missing bats all afternoon, as he generated 17 swinging strikes, with nine of them coming on his curveball. Urias allowed a walk in the first and an infield single in the third but kept the bases clean for the rest of the way en route to his third victory of the season. He'll carry a 2.81 ERA and a 26:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio into his next outing against the Reds on April 26.

  • Mookie Betts Expected To Play Thursday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (forearm) is expected to play in Thursday's series opener against the Padres. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Betts "felt better as the day progressed" and that he received more treatment. The superstar outfielder should be good to go on Thursday for a matchup against Padres' left-hander Ryan Weathers. Betts is batting .292 with a pair of homers and stolen bases and 11 runs scored in 12 games so far in 2021.

  • Mookie Betts To Have Forearm Evaluated On Tuesday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (forearm) is set to have his forearm evaluated by the team prior to Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Betts was hit by a pitch in the forearm in the ninth inning of Monday's game. He remained in the game, but was very clearly in pain after the play. It isn't exactly clear what kind of tests Betts will undergo prior to Tuesday's game, but he should be considered questionable to play on Tuesday at this point. Betts has played 12 games so far this year and is slashing .292/.414/.500 with two home runs, four doubles, two stolen bases and 11 runs.

  • Cody Bellinger Able To Take Swings Monday

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger (leg) was able to take some swings on Monday. Bellinger also took part in some light jogging and played catch, with manager Dave Roberts pleased with the workload he was able to undertake. The star slugger remains without a timetable for his return, though it would obviously be a good sign if he can continue to build up his activity without setbacks. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for more updates on the status of Bellinger, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with a hairline fracture in his left fibula.

  • Max Muncy Gets The Day Off Monday

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners. It's Muncy's first day off of the 2021 season, as he has appeared in all 16 games, slashing .302/.448/.547 with three homers, 22 combined runs and RBI, and 13 walks compared to 12 strikeouts. Edwin Rios will start at first, with Chris Taylor playing second and the recently-called up Sheldon Neuse starting at the hot corner.

  • Corey Seager Goes 0-For-4 With Two Strikeouts On Sunday

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager had a rough time at the plate against Blake Snell and the San Diego Padres on Sunday. Seager went 0-for-4 in the game with two strikeouts. It was a rough three-game series this weekend overall for Seager. He went 1-for-13 in the series. Luckily for fantasy managers, his one hit was a home run on Friday, his second home run of the year. Seager is still looking great overall in the early going this year. He's slashing .288/.391/.492 with two home runs, six doubles, 10 RBI and 10 runs through 15 games. He's only struck out 12 times while he's walked 10 times.

Apr 19 · RotoBaller Dodgers Corey Seager
  • Chris Taylor Homers In Loss

Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Chris Taylor with 1-for-4, including a two-run home run, in the Dodgers 5-2 loss to the Padres on Sunday. The 30-year-old has displayed surprising power through the first weeks of the season, posting three doubles and three home runs through his first 49 at-bats. Taylor will not be able to maintain the .490 slugging percentage that he currently is posting long-term but could help fantasy lineups over the next week during this power surge.

Apr 18 · RotoBaller Dodgers Chris Taylor
  • Trevor Bauer Strikes Out Seven Against Padres

Los Angeles Dodgers starter Trevor Bauer struck out seven batters and allowed only one run through six innings pitched Sunday in the team's 5-2 loss to the Padres. Bauer did not earn the loss and pitched sharply, allowing only three hits. After a bumpy first start of the season, the right-hander has now allowed only three runs on seven hits over his last 19 2/3 innings pitched. Bauer will carry a 0.62 WHIP and a 2.42 ERA into his next start.

Apr 18 · RotoBaller Dodgers Trevor Bauer
  • Gavin Lux Headed To Injured List

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux (wrist) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday. Lux has been dealing with a sore wrist, which forced him to miss Thursday's contest. As a result, he'll ht the injured list, though manager Dave Roberts said he expects Lux to be out for the minimum amount of time. The Dodgers recalled infielder Sheldon Neuse- and activated pitcher Brusdar Graterol from the injured list while optioning pitcher Alex Vesia. Neuse could be in line for a few starts at second base.

  • AJ Pollock Available Saturday, Likely To Return To Lineup Sunday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder AJ Pollock (groin) will be available off the bench for Saturday's game, and will likely return to the starting lineup on Sunday, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Pollock has been listed as day-to-day since suffering a groin injury while running to first base early in the game on Thursday. He has been off to a slow start this year, slashing .250/.302/.300 with two doubles, four RBI and five runs scored in 12 games.

    Apr 17 · RotoBaller Dodgers A.J. Pollock
  • Walker Buehler Records Third Quality Start Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler earned a quality start on Friday against the Padres, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. It was Buehler's third quality start of the season, as he is now 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA to open the year. What's concerning for managers though is the low strikeout rate, as he has just 12 strikeouts in 18 innings for a 17.1 percent strikeout rate, which is 11 percent lower than his career strikeout rate. He'll look to improve on his strikeout rate in his next two starts against the Padres and the Reds.

  • Cody Bellinger Has Hairline Fracture In Left Leg

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger (leg) has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his left fibula, according to Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times. Bellinger has been out for the last week with what was described as a left calf contusion, but recent tests have shown that Bellinger has a hairline fracture as a result of his collision while trying to beat out an infield single. There is no timetable for Bellinger's return at this point, but it seems reasonable to believe it could be a while before the star outfielder makes his return.

Apr 16 · RotoBaller Dodgers Cody Bellinger
  • Chris Taylor Slugging .543 Early In Season

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Chris Taylor has enjoyed a solid week of baseball heading into this weekend's action. The Dodgers are dealing with all kinds of injuries and Taylor is a versatile piece to their offensive attack. Over his last 18 at-bats, Taylor is hitting .277 with two home runs, four runs batted in and five runs scored. The season is young but Taylor is also sporting an impressive .543 slugging percentage. That number should regress as the season goes along but Taylor could provide depth and production at the tail-end of fantasy rosters heading into the weekend.

Apr 16 · RotoBaller Dodgers Chris Taylor
  • Justin Turner Carrying Offensive Load

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner will enter this weekend's action as one of the hottest hitters in the game. The 36-year-old continues to get up there in age but his production at the plate is still elite. Turner is 5-for-9 his last two games with one double, two home runs, three runs scored and five runs batted in. Through his first 44 at-bats, the slugger is slashing an impressive .432/.480/.841. The Dodgers will open up a series in San Diego this weekend and Turner struggled mightily on the road last season. In 83 at-bats away from Dodger Stadium last season, Turner posted an anemic .664 OPS. But DFS managers can cast that aside and easily plug Turner into their lineups during this hot streak.

Apr 16 · RotoBaller Dodgers Justin Turner
  • AJ Pollock Day-To-Day With Groin Injury

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder AJ Pollock (groin) suffered a groin injury while running down the first base line early on in Thursday's game against the Colorado Rockies. He managed to play through the injury at first, but was later removed as Gavin Lux (wrist), who is also nursing an injury, came in as a pinch runner. Pollock is being considered day-to-day. Pollock went 2-for-4 on Thursday night, recording his first multi-hit game of the year. Over 11 games on the year, Pollock is slashing .256/.310/.308 with two doubles, four RBI and five runs. He's still searching for his first home run. Pollock is in a bit of a platoon situation right now, but he's starting more often than not. We could see his playing time dip a good amount once Cody Bellinger (calf) is back. Pollock is only worth roster consideration in deep leagues and NL-only leagues at this point.

    Apr 16 · RotoBaller Dodgers A.J. Pollock
  • David Price Earns Rare Save On Thursday

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher David Price found himself in an unfamiliar position on Thursday night against the Colorado Rockies. Price was called upon in the ninth inning of the game to preserve a 7-5 lead for the team and he came through. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing two hits while striking out two. It was his first save since the 2008 ALCS and his first-ever regular season save. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated that he was planning to give his highest-leverage relievers a breather in the game, so don't expect to see Price unseating Kenley Jansen anytime soon. This was Price's fourth relief outing of the year. He's allowed 11 hits (including three home runs) and five earned runs over 5 2/3 innings. He isn't worth rostering in any fantasy leagues at this point.

Apr 16 · RotoBaller Dodgers David Price
  • Gavin Lux A Late Scratch From Thursday's Lineup

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux(wrist) was initially slated to play shortstop and bat sixth in Thursday's game against Austin Gomber and the Colorado Rockies. However, he was scratched from the lineup about 90 minutes before the first pitch due to right wrist soreness.Edwin Rios was inserted into the lineup in his place. Through 12 games this year, Lux is slashing .220/.244/.317. He has two triples, but is yet to hit his first home run of the year. It doesn't sound like anything major for Lux. Hopefully he'll be back in the lineup against the San Diego Padres on Friday.

Apr 15 · RotoBaller Dodgers Gavin Lux
  • Mookie Betts Not In Thursday's Starting Lineup

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Austin Gomber and the Colorado Rockies. It is a scheduled day off for the Dodgers star. Luke Raley is getting the start in right field and batting eighth in the game. The timing of the scheduled day off for Betts is unfortunate as he had just returned from a four-game absence on Tuesday. He was sidelined with a back issue, then went on to hit a home run in his first game back. Betts is slashing .323/.447/.581 through seven games this year. He'll be back in the lineup on Friday as the Dodgers open up a three-game series with the San Diego Padres.

Apr 15 · RotoBaller Dodgers Mookie Betts
  • Julio Urias Takes On Rockies Thursday

Los Angeles Dodgers starter Julio Urias will take the mound against the Rockies on Thursday night. Urias (2-0) has been sharp out of the gate, posting a 1.03 WHIP and a 2.84 ERA through his first two starts. The left-handed starter was strong pitching at Dodger Stadium last season, posting a 1.06 WHIP and a 2.63 ERA in six home starts. With promising splits against the Rockies, Urias could provide positive value in DFS lineups for Thursday.

Apr 15 · RotoBaller Dodgers Julio Urias
  • Max Muncy Has .520 On-Base Percentage

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy will try and stay hot at the dish heading into Thursday's matchup against the Rockies. Muncy has been dynamite thus far, slashing .368/.520/.632 with five extra-base hits, seven runs batted in, nine runs scored and 11 walks. Muncy has typically been a slow starter but is hitting .454 (5-for-11) over his last four games. Muncy should provide excellent production in DFS lineups heading into the weekend.

Apr 15 · RotoBaller Dodgers Max Muncy
  • Gavin Lux Off To Slow Start

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux has been slumping this week heading into Thursday night's action against the Rockies. The 23-year-old has seen his batting average nose-dive this week and is in the midst of a 1-for-17 slump. Lux enters Thursday's action slashing .220/.244/.317 but the Dodgers appear intent on giving the talented youngster a long leash to find his groove at the plate this year. For the time being, Lux may not be ready to deliver in DFS lineups.

Apr 15 · RotoBaller Dodgers Gavin Lux
  • Trevor Bauer Strikes Out Nine Over Seven Scoreless Innings

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer had his best start of the young season on Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. Bauer pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out nine. He is now 2-0 on the year with a 2.70 ERA and 0.60 WHIP. Bauer has been leaning on his cutter more than usual so far this year. He's thrown it 30.2% of the time and it's generated a whiff rate of 42.5% and a put-away rate of 38.9%. Opponents are hitting just .071 against the pitch. Bauer is simply a stud and should be one of the top pitchers in fantasy throughout the season. His next start will be on Sunday against the San Diego Padres.

Apr 14 · RotoBaller Dodgers Trevor Bauer
  • Mookie Betts Returns To Lineup On Tuesday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (back) is set to make his return to the field on Tuesday after a four-game absence due to a back injury. Betts is playing right field and leading off on Tuesday as the team faces Antonio Senzatela and the Colorado Rockies. Betts was off to a fantastic start to the year before the injury arose. Through five games this year, Betts is slashing .348/.464/.565 with a home run, two doubles, six runs, four walks and only one strikeout.

Apr 13 · RotoBaller Dodgers Mookie Betts
  • Justin Turner Still Getting It Done

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner, often considered the heart and soul of this Dodgers team for his elite work ethic and leadership qualities, continues to get it done offensively. His on-base percentage has been at .400 or higher in three of the last four years, and he's on pace to do it again in 2021. Turner has stepped up in the early going with injuries sidelining Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts and is slashing .378/.415/.676 with five doubles, two home runs and nine RBI heading into Tuesday's action against the Colorado Rockies. While the 36-year-old veteran obviously doesn't have the most fantasy upside on this stacked Dodgers squad, he remains useful for his average and OBP while also providing plenty of counting stats in this strong lineup. If he can remain healthy during the year, Turner will remain relevant in all mixed leagues.

Apr 13 · RotoBaller Dodgers Justin Turner
  • Tony Gonsolin A Ways Away From Returning

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tony Gonsolin (shoulder), who is on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation, is "a ways away" from returning to the mound, according to manager Dave Roberts. Gonsolin is still dealing with soreness in his right shoulder. The 26-year-old right-hander was eligible to come off the injured list on Sunday, but obviously that didn't happen. Gonsolin can be left to the waiver wire in standard 12-team mixed leagues for now. He has yet to appear in a game so far in 2021, although he was impressive with a 2.31 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 46 strikeouts in 46 2/3 innings over nine games (eight starts) in 2020. The longer he's sidelined, the more starts Dustin May is likely to receive.

Apr 12 · RotoBaller Dodgers Tony Gonsolin
  • Will Smith With A 1.214 OPS Through Seven Games

Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith is off to a hot start to the 2021 season. Through seven games, he is slashing .300/.464/.750 with two home runs, three doubles, four RBI and six runs. He's walked six times and struck out only four times. He's registered barrels on five of his 17 batted balls (29.4%) and he has an average exit velocity of 95.1 mph. Smith is hitting the ball as well he ever has right now and looks primed to be one of the top catchers in fantasy this year.

Apr 12 · RotoBaller Dodgers Will Smith
  • Clayton Kershaw Pitches Six Scoreless Innings On Sunday

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw out-dueled fellow ace Max Scherzer in the Dodgers' 3-0 win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Kershaw pitched six innings and allowed five hits, no walks and no runs while striking out six. He earned the win and improved to 2-1 on the young season. Kershaw has led with his slider so far this year, throwing it 47.2% of the time, up from 39.9% last year. He's gotten great results from it as it's generated a put-away percentage of 38.7%, up from 22.7% in 2020. He's been nothing short of an ace through the early going this year. He'll look to stay hot in his next start against the San Diego Padres on Saturday.

Apr 12 · RotoBaller Dodgers Clayton Kershaw
  • Corey Seager Hitting .342 Through Nine Games

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager has picked up where he left off after his dominant 2020 season. Through nine games in 2021, Seager is slashing .342/.444/.447 with four doubles, seven RBI and five runs. He's still searching for his first home run of the year, but it's hard to complain about his production apart from that. He's been making great contact with a hard-hit rate of 69% and an average exit velocity of 97.3 mph. He's also drawing walks at a career-best clip of 15.6%. Seager figures to be one of the top shortstops in fantasy this year as long as he can stay healthy.

Apr 12 · RotoBaller Dodgers Corey Seager
  • Zach McKinstry Providing Solid Spark For Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Zach McKinstry has been one of the biggest surprise stories for the team so far this year. Through nine games, the 25-year-old rookie is slashing .321/.355/.679 with two home runs, four doubles and 10 RBI. He has just four strikeouts over 28 at-bats. In Sunday's game, McKinstry was especially clutch for the team, going 2-for-3 with a double and home run, helping the Dodgers defeat the Washington Nationals 3-0. With Mookie Betts (back) and Cody Bellinger (calf) sidelined, the team has especially needed McKinstry to come through and he's delivered. His playing time should dwindle down when the team is at full strength, but for now, he's worth a roster spot in most fantasy leagues, especially with his valuable second base eligibility.

Apr 12 · RotoBaller Dodgers Zach McKinstry
  • Gavin Lux Leading Off On Sunday

Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux is leading off for the second time this year on Sunday as the team takes on Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals. Chris Taylor, who had led off the team's previous three games, is being bumped down to fifth in the lineup for the game. Lux was fantastic in the team's opening series against the Colorado Rockies, going 6-for-16 with two triples, three RBI and three runs, but he's struggled since then. Over his last four starts, he's gone just 2-for-15 with no extra-base hits. Maybe a move up to the leadoff position will help him get back on track, but it won't be an easy day for him against the formidable Scherzer.

Apr 11 · RotoBaller Dodgers Gavin Lux
  • Brusdar Graterol Nearing Return To Action

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol threw 15 pitches in a simulated inning on Saturday. According to manager Dave Roberts, Graterol is close to being ready for big league action. Roberts said that he has "one box left to check -- pitching on 2 out of 3 days." Graterol has been on the injured list since the start of the year. The team has said that he isn't injured and that the reason for him being on the injured list is "related" to COVID-19. Regardless, it sounds like Graterol should be ready for his 2021 MLB debut within the next week or so. He will be one of the team's primary setup men and could even be a dark horse for some save opportunities if Kenley Jansen's struggles continue.

Apr 11 · RotoBaller Dodgers Brusdar Graterol
  • Mookie Betts Will Remain Out On Sunday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (back) will be out of the lineup once again on Sunday as the team wraps up their three-game series against the Washington Nationals. Betts is dealing with lower back stiffness and will miss his fourth straight game. However, manager Dave Roberts still doesn't believe that Betts will require a trip to the injured list. Edwin Rios will be starting in right field on Sunday with Zack McKinstry in left field. The Dodgers are off on Monday before they start a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. Hopefully, the extra rest on Sunday and Monday will allow Betts to return on Tuesday.

Apr 11 · RotoBaller Dodgers Mookie Betts
  • Mookie Betts Remains Out Of Lineup Saturday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (back) remains out of the lineup on Saturday in the matchup with the Nationals. Betts has been out since Wednesday while dealing with back stiffness, and he was originally anticipated to return on Friday but was held out of the lineup again. There's no word yet on if this could lead to a stint on the injured list, but it is concerning for managers to see Betts miss his third straight game. Keep watching for new updates on Betts' condition.

Apr 10 · RotoBaller Dodgers Mookie Betts
  • Justin Turner Goes 3-For-3 With Home Run On Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner was the only source of run production in the team's 1-0 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday. Turner went 3-for-3 in the game and hit a solo home run, his second home run of the year. Turner is off to a fantastic start to the 2021 season. Through seven games, he is slashing .414/.455/.724. He has three doubles, eight RBI and six runs. He's a mainstay in the three-spot in one of the league's most potent lineups. He's one of the game's best contact hitters and has some power upside as well. Keep throwing him in your lineup without thinking twice.

Apr 10 · MLB Trade Rumors Giants Dodgers Ashton Goudeau
  • Victor Gonzalez Records Third Hold Of Season

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Victor Gonzalez recorded his third hold of the young season on Friday in the Dodgers' 1-0 win over the Nationals. It was the fourth appearance for Gonzalez who has established himself as a high leverage relief option in Los Angeles. He is coming off a 2020 campaign in which he posted a 1.33 ERA, a 0.74 WHIP, and a ridiculous 23:2 K:BB in 20 1/3 innings pitched. In 2020, he only recorded two holds, compared to the three already in 2021. This certainly reveals how the Dodgers will be utilizing him going forward. While Kenley Jansen is the Dodgers closer, with Corey Knebel lurking behind him, Gonzalez should provide managers with elite ratios, solid strikeouts, and huge hold totals on a team that will have a large number of wins. Gonzalez could also potentially vulture a number of saves if Jansen falters and Knebel is unavailable to pitch on certain days. Managers in leagues that reward holds should be targeting Gonzalez as an immediate waiver wire add. Managers who have Jansen rostered may also wish to target Gonzalez as a handcuff if Knebel has already been rostered by league-mates.

Apr 10 · RotoBaller Dodgers Victor Gonzalez
  • Corey Knebel Earns Save On Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Corey Knebel was chosen by manager Dave Roberts to close out the team's 1-0 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday. Knebel delivered by striking out the side on 10 pitches. Kenley Jansen has been the longtime closer for the Dodgers, but he blew a save on Wednesday and there has been speculation that his job as the team's closer is in jeopardy. Friday's development suggests that Knebel is next in line for saves for the Dodgers. He is worth adding in all fantasy leagues where saves are scarce.

  • Cody Bellinger Placed On 10-Day Injured List

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed Cody Bellinger (calf) on the 10-day injured list with a left calf contusion. The move is retroactive to April 6. Bellinger suffered the injury after taking a spike to the leg during Tuesday's game. While Bellinger is sidelined, Chris Taylor and Mookie Betts will be the team's primary center fielders while AJ Pollock and Zach McKinstry should see an increase in playing time. It doesn't sound like an injury that will keep Bellinger sidelined long. In sending Bellinger to the injured list, the Dodgers recalled outfielder Luke Raley in a corresponding move.

  • Max Muncy With A .531 On-Base Percentage To Start The Year

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy is off to a fantastic start to the 2021 season. Through seven games, Muncy is slashing .375/.531/.625 with one home run, seven walks, five RBI and five runs. He's reached base at least once in all seven games. His plate discipline has been better than it's ever been before. His walk rate is up from 15.7% in 2020 to 21.9% this year, while his strikeout rate is down from 24.2% in 2020 to 12.5% this year. He also has an average exit velocity of 93.1 mph so far this year, which is well above his average exit velocity of 88.5 mph last year. It could just be a bit of a hot start, but there's also a chance Muncy could have his best season yet in 2021.
