  • Kyle Wright To Make Spring Debut Monday

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (shoulder) said he's scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Wright has faced hitters in spring training, but this will be his first time getting into a game. The 27-year-old needed a cortisone injection in his right shoulder back in January and has been brought along slowly in camp. As long as he doesn't have a setback in the next couple weeks, he should be ready to go for Opening Day. Wright had a league-leading 21 wins last year in a breakout campaign and has become a solid starting target in fantasy leagues heading into the 2023 regular season.

  • Kyle Wright To Make Spring Debut Next Week

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (shoulder) threw two innings on the back fields at camp on Wednesday and will make the first of two Grapefruit League starts next week and then make his final tune-up against minor-leaguers after the Braves leave camp. He's currently lined up to make his 2023 debut against the St. Louis Cardinals on the road between April 3-5. Wright required a cortisone injection back in January for a shoulder injury and has been brought along slowly in spring training, but he appears to be on track to go early in the year, barring a setback within the next couple of weeks. The 27-year-old right-hander broke out last year for Atlanta and fantasy managers, and even if he does see some regression in 2023, he should be a solid fantasy starter.

  • Kyle Wright Could Make Spring Debut Next Week

Atlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) will throw a side session on Tuesday and live batting practice on Friday, and he could make his Grapefruit League debut next week. It sets him up to make three spring starts before Opening Day. Wright could make another start against minor-leaguers and then be lined up for the second series of the regular season against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 27-year-old is being in camp after needing a cortisone injection in his shoulder in January. Wright broke out for Atlanta in 2022 with a league-high 21 wins, career-best 3.19 ERA (3.58 FIP), 1.16 WHIP and 174 strikeouts in 180 1/3 innings (30 starts). Some regression could be in store, but Wright should still be considered a very solid fantasy starter.
