  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Could Return Saturday

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (ankle) could return on Saturday. The slugger injured his left ankle during Thursday's loss to Toronto, and although he didn't suffer a fracture, it was still too sore for him to suit up on Friday night against Milwaukee. The 23-year-old was replaced in the outfield and the leadoff spot by Ehire Adrianza during the series opener against the Brewers, so fantasy managers looking to fill a void should keep him on the radar if Acuna is out longer than expected.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Not In Lineup After Early Exit Thursday

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (ankle) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's contest with the Brewers. Acuna was listed as day-to-day after injuring his ankle in Thursday's game, but it's not believed to be serious as X-rays came back negative. Ehire Adrianza is taking over in right field in his place against Milwaukee, and will bat leadoff against Brewers starter Adrian Houser. Keep an eye out for further updates, but Acuna should be back in the lineup within the next few days.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Day-To-Day With Ankle Injury

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (ankle) is considered day-to-day after injuring his ankle in Thursday's game, according to Gabriel Burns of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was able to walk off the field with a slight limp, and X-rays on his ankle came back negative. It looks like Acuna has managed to survive yet another scare, and he should return to the lineup within the next day or two, much to the relief of fantasy managers everywhere.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Exits Early Thursday

Atlanta Braves star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr.(ankle) exited Thursday's tilt against the Toronto Blue Jays in the bottom of the seventh inning after trying to run out a ground ball and hitting first base awkwardly. Acuna was seen on the ground holding his ankle in obvious pain. The good news is that he was able to walk off the field under his own power. More news is expected soon. Acuna limped his way into the dugout, so he might've avoided a serious injury. However, it doesn't mean that he's guaranteed to avoid a trip to the injured list.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Homers For First Time Since HBP

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. had his first hits since leaving a game on May 8 after being hit by a pitch on the hand. On Tuesday, the Atlanta star went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during the club's 5-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. He also struck out twice. Acuna Jr. now has three May home runs through the first nine games of the month. That amount brings his total for the year up to 11 through just 33 games, which suggests the new baseballs designed to dampen the offense in the game have not had an impact on him. Acuna Jr.'s previous season-high in homers was set back in 2019 when he slugged 41 in 156 games. He's also showing improved contact skills with a strikeout rate of 14.5% down from almost 30% in 2020.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Leading Off For Braves On Sunday

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (hand) is in the starting lineup for Sunday night's game and will bat leadoff against the Phillies. This is great news after Acuna suffered a scare Saturday when he was hit in the hand by a pitch and exited the game. X-rays came back negative, and it appears that Acuna is doing well enough to play without issue. Managers should make sure he is slotted into their lineups for Sunday's finale.

  • X-Rays On Ronald Acuna Jr. Negative

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (hand) is considered day-to-day. The 23-year-old took a pitch to his left hand during Saturday's outing against the Phillies, resulting in a bruised left pinky. Luckily, x-rays were negative, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him out of the lineup for the series finale against Philly on Sunday.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Has Decreased His Whiffs

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is hitting .327/.424/.702 this year and is leading or tied for the major league lead in runs and home runs. The 23-year-old is striking out less as the rest of the league strikes out more. He has the third-largest drop in strikeout rate, from 30 percent last year to 13 percent in 2021. Acuna has done that by posting the fourth-lowest chase rate in baseball, especially laying off offspeed pitches outside the strike zone. As a result, pitchers aren't throwing Acuna as many breaking pitches. The superstar has essentially forced pitchers to give him more fastballs, which he has been feasting on. One of the best hitters in the game is improving, which is scary to think about. It's why he was the consensus No. 1 overall pick in fantasy this year.

  • Ronald Acuna Jr. Reaches Base Three Times

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 2-for-4 with a walk during the club's 6-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in 10 innings on Saturday. He has a .348 batting average, BB-K of 16-14, and three stolen bases to go with his power output. Seventeen of his 32 hits have gone for extra bases. Acuna Jr. will no doubt continue to be an elite fantasy option moving forward assuming he stays healthy. He battled through a minor abdominal strain earlier this season.
