  • Jose Godoy Claimed By Pirates

    The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed catcher Jose Godoy off of waivers on Friday. The Minnesota Twins designated Godoy for assignment earlier in the week after the 27-year-old backstop logged just three at-bats in the big leagues in 2022. To make room for Godoy on the roster, Pittsburgh designated veteran catcher Taylor Davis for assignment. Look for Godoy to help fill in behind the plate while starter Tyler Heineman (groin) is on the injured list.
