  • Josh Donaldson Cranks First Homer

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson went 4-for-6 with a home run, three runs scored, and two RBI in a 13-12 loss to the Athletics. Donaldson belted his first home run of the season- a 110.7 MPH blast that traveled 412 feet. The veteran third baseman reached three other times in the contest and is absolutely on fire to start the season, as he's riding a six-game hitting streak. Aside from the early injury, Donaldson has been everything his fantasy managers could have hoped for. He'll sit out games here and there, but he looks like the 2019 version of Donaldson that registered 30-plus homers and 90-plus runs and RBI.

  • Josh Donaldson Has Two-Hit Day Friday

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in Friday's loss to the Angels. Both of Donaldson's hits registered exit velocities of 106 MPH or greater. The veteran third baseman has three hits, a run, and an RBI since returning from the injured list- and has been ripping the ball so far this season. Manager Rocco Baldelli seemed to indicate that Donaldson would be out there for Saturday's game as well, which would be good for his fantasy managers, considering it's a favorable matchup against Angels' left-hander Jose Quintana, who currently sports a 16.20 ERA.

  • Josh Donaldson In Lineup Against Angels On Friday

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson is back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Angels. Donaldson sat out Thursday's game as part of the team's new strategy for managing his workload- though manager Rocco Baldelli said that the veteran third baseman would play a couple of days in a row over the weekend with "sporadic" days off mixed in. It sure sounds like Donaldson, who had a strong spring and has two hits in three at-bats to start the season, will be out there for Saturday's game as well.

  • Josh Donaldson Taking A Seat Thursday

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson will take a seat on the bench for Thursday's contest against Boston. Donaldson made his return from the injured list in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader and looked healthy, rapping a single, drawing a walk, and scoring a run. Manager Rocco Baldelli made it clear before the season started that the veteran third baseman would have his workload managed in 2021- and that plan would seem to be even more essential now that he's already spent time on the injured list. Expect Donaldson back for the opening game of the series against the Angels on Friday.

  • Josh Donaldson Walks And Scores A Run In Return

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson made his return to the lineup for the nightcap of Wednesday's doubleheader. Donaldson went 1-for-2 at the plate, walking once and scoring a run in the 7-1 loss. The 34-year-old answered any questions about the condition of his hamstring immediately. He singled in his first at-bat, went from first to third on a Nelson Cruz base hit, and then scored on a Kyle Garlick sacrifice fly, impressively showing the team that he's healthy. Donaldson is likely to be eased back into the action, which might cause some fantasy managers to grumble a bit, though it ultimately could be the best thing for his fantasy value long-term.

  • Josh Donaldson To Play In Game 2 Of Doubleheader

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (hamstring) has been sidelined since Opening Day after aggravating his hamstring while running out a double in his first at-bat of the year. He's been cleared to return and will be in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox. Donaldson has had a number of injuries over the past few years, making the Opening Day injury this year even more concerning. If he can stay healthy, he should be the Twins' primary third baseman, though Luis Arraez will probably spell him once or twice per week at the hot corner.

  • Josh Donaldson Not In Lineup Tuesday

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (hamstring) is not in Tuesday's lineup for the contest against the Red Sox. The veteran third baseman is reportedly nearing a return to game action, though his fantasy managers will have to wait a bit longer for that to occur. Donaldson could crack the starting lineup for one of the games in Wednesday's doubleheader, given that he'd only be slated for seven innings.

  • Josh Donaldson Ready To Return Soon

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (hamstring) is "more or less" ready to play again, according to Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com. Manager Rocco Baldelli said the team is delaying his return to the lineup slightly due to the weather forecast this week, but he should be back with the Twins in the next few days. Donaldson has been out since Opening Day when he exited the game with hamstring tightness. It's just a small delay as the Twins want him to return under optimal conditions, and he should be activated by the end of the week in all likelihood.

  • Josh Donaldson Could Return Either Monday Or Tuesday

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson (hamstring) could be activated from the injured list on Monday or Tuesday, according to MLB.com's Do-Hyoung Park. Manager Rocco Baldelli said that Donaldson sprinted and ran the bases on Saturday without issue, and that he'll take grounders, hit in batting practice and get some at-bats in St. Paul this weekend. Donaldson was placed on the injured list last weekend with right hamstring tightness, and signs are pointing toward it being a short stint. Managers should look for more updates, but tentatively plan for Donaldson's return early in the week.
