Four things.

1) K-Rod seems to have not been put on a team.

2) why no FAAB this week? Plenty of time until Sunday? I've never actually used this process before.

3) are we setting our lineups weekly or daily?

Sorry, I've never played in an NFBC league.

4) could CBS suck any more? I'm so glad I've been playing on Yahoo all this time. Maybe that is why it seems impossible to figure out, but the interface is just awful. Even trying to just look at the standings page is atrocious.

You know, I have to admit I'm a little disappointed in the look and feel of the thing too. Especially setting the starting lineup. I like the Yahoo drag-and-drop method. I've never had a problem with that.

1. I got your note about the wrong Francisco and I made the change.

2. From the get-go I said no FAAB until after the first week so I'm just sticking with that.

3. Weekly lineups. Now... CBS is not as good in this respect as I thought. The NFBC rules are to set lineups by Monday night, or early Monday if you have players in a Monday game played earlier in the day. Plus you can change pitchers who go on the DL and hitters on Fridays. CBS does not offer this flexibility, so we will be going with the following:

- set weekly lineups 5 minutes before the first game on Monday each week
- if you have a pitcher go on the DL, you can switch him on Friday up to 5 minutes before the start of the first game that day... he can only be switched if on the offical MLB DL list by Friday at 12:01am and can only be switched on Friday... so if he goes on Tue and he was scheduled to start Thu, you can't change him before Thu
- we're going to leave out the option to replace hitters mid-week
- to do this pitcher/DL change, you need to let me and the league know. send the whole league an email prior to the deadline for the change to be in effect

4. Also not a fan of the standings page layout. I mean, doesn't the Draft Buddy roto tab look better than this?

My bad on the FAAB, just itching to get an OFer off my team, i obviously fail at reading comprehension.

the draft buddy roto tab is sharp and how it should be done. just like Yahoo's standings page. again, maybe i've been playing on yahoo for too long.

i've never played with some of these rules, so it certainly should be a challenge. best of luck to all.

Make sure you check your spam folder as well. Sometimes the automated CBS emails get marked as spam in my email.

At first my lineup looked so good I thought there must be a mistake but apparently not :D

Mike, can you add a summary of this to the site. It could be put under rules, commissioner notes and/or commwire. I'd love to see a brief summary of this added to the commwire so I can have it scroll across the top of my screen. It's the only rule that isn't really built in so it would be good to have it noted on the site for quick reference.

I have to agree with Garf about Yahoo Fantasy sports. It is my favorite site for baseball and football. I love the drag and drop feature too. CBS has really good player research and info, but lags behind Yahoo for ease of use. Nevertheless, I am still excited about this league. Sounds like we have a great competitive bunch. Good luck to all.

actually, yeah, the best part about CBS so far are the notes on players. (A) it seems to be from a different service, so I might get more opinions on guys/ roster battles/ injuries/ etc. (B) some of the info seems to get there quicker especially on guys going on the DL and injuries. from an overall user friendliness perspective CBS gets about a D-.

I updated the website for a few basic notes including the lineup change thing.

It looks like everyone has 23 active and 7 reserves except for Cubbies, so we are almost all set.

Any game predictions for Sunday?
